later that night,
he got a call
from her mother.
who was sobbing
uncontrollably.
"william,
emily was starving
herself... th-they
had to sedate her,"
her mother was telling him
the shocking news.
he contemplated running.
what a sight, a blind kid running through the streets.
but
when her mother
told him the hospital address.
he realized that
it was across town.
so he rushed to his
brother,
and had his brother
drive
to the hospital
as quick as possible.
he'd left his cane in the rush,
he never really liked that thing anyways.
and through the ride,
he didn't let his thoughts
wander to what would happen
if he could see her doing this to herself.
