Step one: gather your materials (I used my hand, pastels, black paint, of course the paint brushes, paper, and newspaper) a) napkin, paper towel, or hand (if you wanna get it dirty...) b) chalk or pastels c) black paint or something like that (if you don't have that, you can use black crayon) d) paint brushes, one small and one big e) paper f) newspaper or something to put under the drawing, this project will be dirty g) water (if you want)
Step two: draw You need to draw your horizon line (ground), a palm tree like in the picture shown below, and anything extra you wanna add, like birds (or a mermaid...)
Step three: color/paint Use your black material to color/paint the palm trees, ground, grass, and whatever extra things you want Note: let everything dry before going on to the next part.
Step four: background This step is MESSY Use your chalk or pastels to color the sky. GO OVER the palm trees! NOTE: only use complementary colors: Red orange yellow, green blue yellow, purple pink blue
Step five: smudge Take your hand, napkin, or paper towel and smudge the background
Step six: repaint Dip your paintbrush in water and run it over the painted parts or paint the painted parts again with your black utensil
Step seven: let it dry Put it somewhere where it will not be touched and let it dry overnight. This step is if you used something for your painting that needs to dry.
