She rose her cigarette in the air and joined the chanting crowd.

His eyes watched her cautiously and dearly. If she turned around and caught him watching her, she surely would start a fight. After all, he was the boy who broke her heart. He, for years, tried to chase her back and tell her that he made a regretful mistake but every attempt was denied. He would never stop trying, he believed that they were meant to be together, and possibly that they were soulmates and he screwed everything up like he always does. She once too, used to have that same mindset until reality collapsed onto her shoulders, dragging her into the watery depths of sorrow.

She loved him.
