Chapter 8

"Come on Issei" I groaned as I picked his body up. He passed out due to exhaustion. Rias made all of us carry our bags to our training area and everyone was doing just fine until Issei passed out.

"Ha and he thinks he's a strong and powerful dragon emperor."

"Ugh now isn't the time Venom. We have to figure out a way to neutralize Riser's flames" I replied to Venom

"Can't neutralize it but need to find a way to fight it"

"Same freaking shit Venom" I retorted.

"Hey guys!" Rias called out, "Are you coming or not?" She asked at the top of the hill. I sighed and started to run with Issei. When we got to the top of the hill, we saw a beautiful scenery. I couldn't help but stare.

"It's quite astonishing isn't it?" Akeno came up to me. "But what's also astonishing is how I am in bed~" she flirted. I couldn't help but go stiff. Venom laughed.

"Knock it off Akeno, we are here to train" Rias butted in.

Soon Issei woke up and was able to get back on his feet. Since him and Asia were the weakest ones, we all had our specific lessons with them 2. Kiba was about agility, Akeno was over learning their own aura, Rias taught them magic, Koneko taught them precision, and Venom and I were the surprise lesson.

Each person was assigned a day to train them. We were last, but the first few days were to get their endurance up. Over that time, I couldn't help but think of ways to defeat Riser without his flames touching Venom.

"Are you okay?" Rias asked me while sitting next to me.

"Yeah, I just am thinking over this battle that's all" I replied not wanting to give away that I'm weak against fire.

"You seem stressed out, that's my job as the leader" Rias continued.

"I know I know, but still, I don't want him hurting you in any way. I'm just thinking of strategies that's all"

"That's sweet of you" She said with a small smile but then got serious

"Oh shit" I shrugged the comment off.

"You're afraid aren't you?" I asked. She only nodded.

"Its just nobody has faith in me. Granted I am the next heir to house of Gremory. However, they all are placing all odds against me and my peerage. They questioned why I chose all of my 8 pawn pieces to Issei, but I think I'm the only one who knows his true potential." She sadly stated. I could only smile and place my hand on her shoulder.

"Then let's show them what we're made of. Let's testify all the non believers. The more we believe in ourselves, the better chance we have" I started but then looked away. Rias only stared at me.

"Besides, I have a bone to pick with that flaming chicken. It's one thing to disrespect me but to you? That's the death penalty and you looked uncomfortable with it all" I continued but quickly stopped because I was rambling. Rias' face turned the color of her hair

"Thought we were gonna take this easy and slowly" 'Stop!' Venom only laughed

"I-I am sorry I was just rambling" I apologized. She quickly hugged me, "no it's okay, it's just nobody tells me that they will do such a thing" she added. I only smiled but something kept lingering.

"Hey Rias?" I asked. She looked up at me

"What is it?"

"You're thinking there's a chance we may die because of that flaming coward. Quit with those thoughts!"
