SARAH’s POV

Bwahahahaha!!! I could still clearly see how hurt he was when I bit his lips. That’s what you get Mr. Gerald “cold-hearted” Anderson for ignoring me few days ago at the gym. If there was no one watching us, I would’ve probably run for my life as if zombies chasing me. I do not know what else this monster is capable of doing just to take his revenge on me.

Plasir da Moré/ Plaisir d'Amour was playing again when we were walking out the church; people were throwing confetti and rice grains at us which according to old beliefs, it was a symbolism of prosperity and the guests’ way of wishing us a lifetime full of blessings… YEAH RIGHT! What they meant was symbolism of failure and a lifetime full of misery.

I was in the middle of my not-so-deep-thought when Gerald suddenly scooped me up. Couple of white dove was being released from the white cage as they both flew away together freely while the sunlight shined on them; Witnesses were clapping and screaming the word “kiss”. I took a sneak glance at him, he was looking at the people surrounded us, he put on his happy mask showing everyone his white perfect teeth acting as if everything about us was not a lie. Oh yes, you’re the great pretender – I sang on my head.

“Kiss!”

“Kiiissss”

“Kissssssss!!!”

The spectators continued to holler.

Gerald turned his head from them to me. He looked at me intently wearing his crooked smile, the one that looked exactly like Edward’s of Twilight. That certain smile -- there is something about that smile that I cannot summon into mind.  For a while, something bizarre tickled my heart. I could feel my own hands tightened its grip around his neck; our eyes stared at each other, my sealed lips slightly parted. With that, Gerald claimed my lips. I felt the tip of his tongue against my own tongue. His lips were soft – soft that I was tempted to bite them again. His kiss was not harsh, it was gentle…too gentle that I didn’t even want him to stop. My eyes were closed and I was about to answer his kiss but his lips left me hanging. If somebody captured a photo of my expression, for sure I’d look like a total fool. Can you imagine someone’s lips pouting, kissing the air? That. Looks. Horrible. And that’s what this moron was after.

“Babe ang noo paki-unat. Kulot-kulot na, maganda ka pa naman”, he whispered in his smooth tone, pertaining to my crinkled eyebrows.

While carrying me, Gerald started to take his steps heading toward the white limousine that was parked in front the church. Its door was already open and was patiently waiting for us to get in along with the chauffeur who was standing beside it.

“See you all at the reception!” Gerald shouted before he turned his back on the people. “Manong, pasok na kayo sa loob. We’ll be fine” he commanded the chauffeur which the latter politely obliged.

“Put me down”, I ordered him.

“Not yet young lady”, he uttered.

And there was! Next thing he did was unforgivable! The idiot threw me in the limo’s rear seat then he sat down far away from me. Glad that there was no hard object setting on the seat, otherwise blood would be found all over this freaking limo. I caught the chauffeur took a glimpse at us through the rear view mirror, he pushed a button to close the door then another button to close the tinted and sound proof glass partition that separated him from us so that he wouldn’t be able to see us and hear our conversation.

I sat up as I fixed my gown and took off the diamond earrings and necklace hanging around my neck. With the help of my peripheral vision, I saw Gerald checking his mobile phone. He took a deep breath, placed his left elbow on his left leg as he rested his chin on his left palm. He seemed worried. It was the first time I saw him worrying for someone. Hmmnnn so the cold-hearted beast has a warm heart after all.
