Today was the day, our first official date. I knew we weren't technically a couple because she was married, but I was happy. She made me happy.

Emma just finished up my hair when my phone started ringing.

"Hey, Jane." I answered with a smile.

   "Hey yourself. You almost ready?"

I glanced at Emma through the mirror. "I don't know, am I almost ready, Emma?"

She smiled and took a step back. "I'd say so."

   I laughed.

"So, what's the verdict?" Jane asked.

"I'll be at your place in a few."

  "Sounds good. I can't wait."

   I smiled. "Me neither."

After saying our long goodbyes, I followed Emma out to her car and got into the passengers seat.

"You gonna come in to say hi?" I asked.

She seemed to contemplate it for a second.

   "Pretty please?"

   She smiled and nodded. "Fine."

I threw my arms up in victory. "Yes."

She laughed as she started the car and headed for Janes house.

When we got there, Emma followed me to the front door. I was nervous and I didn't really know why.

'Maybe because it's your first real date like ever!' I thought.

Emma knocked, pulling me from my thoughts. Then, the door opened and Janes beautiful face greeted us with a smile.

"C'mon in, guys." She said, holding the door open for us.

We walked in and Jane greeted me personally with a lingering kiss.

Emma cleared her throat, breaking up our moment.

We giggled as we looked at each other. Then, I turned to Emma. "Jane, you remember Emma."

Jane smiled. "Of course, it's great to see you again."

Emma smiled back and shook her hand, then she spoke. "So, where are you taking her?"

Jane glanced at me. "Well, it wouldn't be much of a surprise if I told you."

Emma sighed. "Fine, when will you have her back?"

Before Jane could answer, I walked in front of Emma. "Relax, I'm an adult and you're way to young to be my mother." I whispered.

She sighed again before smiling. "You're right, I'm sorry."

I pulled her into a quick hug before turning back to Jane. "You ready?"

She stuck her arm out and I linked mine with hers.

Emma followed us out and made her way to her own car.

"I'll text you when we're back." I said.

Emma gave me a thumbs up before getting into her car and driving off.

Jane ran over and got my door for me.

I smiled. "Thanks."

She smiled back. "Anytime."

After I was in, Jane joined me and started the car.

"So, you really aren't gonna tell me?" I questioned.
