The horde had formed a much bigger horde and started closing on them. John hauled Katie over the fence, she began to climb down and john stayed behind her, just to make sure nothing clung onto her. By this time the horde had gotten to the bottom of the fence and began yo try to reach up to them.
Once Katie had reached the very top of the fence she started slipping away from her grip. John hauled himself further up at an incredible pace and caught her fall. But while John was doing so, something had latched on to johns leg and pulled down hard. John began to tumble down, into the hungry and mindless horde that would tear him limb form limb. And Katie would see it all. Time seemed to slow down, so that John and Katie could stare for that one last time. Katie kept screaming daddy, but john just smiled and mouthed the words
"I love you." Katie face dropped as she watched her father drop into the horde of monsters that she had feared for the past two days. And now these monsters would consume the only person that cared about her and cared for her. Katie closed her eyes as she heard the crunching and squishing noises that were made as John was being ripped apart. She had no idea what to do now. She didn't know wether to climb the rest of the fence and run, but don't stop. Or to join her father.
She opened her eyes. She had made her decision.
Hey guys. Sorry for the real short chapter but I created it short so I could introduce another group that you'll find out about in chapter 3: the city. I also want you guys to comment what the infected/zombies should be called. If you guys could comment on that I would really appreciate it!
