Florence Morel lived in small and comfortable apartment near the river Avon in Bristol . She would always admire the water flowing through her home city each time she walked back from school and later on in life , work . she could of been so much more if it wasn't for her passion to seek adventure , she always had the potential to be higher in society she just didn't feel as if staying in the same place her whole life was her .

As a child Florence grew interested in the places you'd find in atlases or books about the most exciting places in the world . She felt like she needed to explore the world she was placed into , however according to her parents that didn't pay the bills .

Yet Florence was so sure she'd get to go to the place she once longed to visit after all it was the first place she threw a pin at when she was ten .

Venice , Italy .

•••••••

It was a clear night in Bristol . The stars for once were gifted by Florence's presence and she couldn't help but give a sigh of relief that she was somewhere she actually knew .

She stepped out of the box and the doctor followed closely behind her , she made her way towards the railings that guarded the river and lent up against it . she noticed the doctor did the same .

" Why don't you chase your dreams ?" the doctor asked out of the blue as they both stared out onto the river .

Florence gave a slight falter in her expression and flashed him a quick smile as she looked back down .

"This about me dropping out of medical school right ?" Florence mused as she gave a slight grin to the answer. she figured that doctor must of knew someone if they've met before .

" You never did quite say " He grinned softly . But he didn't demand an answer which didn't bother Florence anyway .

" Doctor - i dropped out of medical school because i wanted to see the world . There is nothing holding me back here especially with no soulmate and all  "

she hated mentioning the soulmate scenario because even when she convinced her self to stop thinking about it , it never truly worked .

Although She gave a slight laugh upon remembering the faces her parents made when she told them she was going to drop out .

The doctor grinned at the irony he could show her the stars and planets she'd love right now but he knew he couldn't , not now anyway .

" I will show you places you could never imagine don't you worry " He said .Florence just wished to god that he was true . she just had to be patient .

" Will you ? , will i actually ever see you again or am i on some really hard core drugs right now " She asked semi dreading the answer that he would give her .

The doctor looked back at her not believing what Florence just said , why wouldn't he want to spend his days with her .

" You'll see me again but i wont know who you are " he replied not intending for it to be that way.

" I Better make a good first impression " She gave a slight chuckle as the doctor stood up and gave a smile back , but this time it didn't quite reach the eyes .

" You will be amazing "

The doctor placed one hand on top of Florence's where she rested it on the railing and the other upon her cold cheek. He placed a long lasted kiss on her forehead as a parting gift , when he withdrew a cold gust of wind made its way to where warmth once was .

He waved at her once more as he made a quick and weird jog to his police box . Florence watched as the tardis vanished before her very eyes and dreamt of the places it could one day take her .

"See ya " she mumbled softly as she made her way back home .

•••••••

As Florence entered her home she couldn't help but smile as the warmth hit her face , taking every bit of cold away from her . She noticed the flare of the tv on in the living room and she knew either her mum fell asleep waiting for her , or she was up watching another murder mystery documentary which she would always complain about to Florence .

Knocking her shoes off and not bothering to place her coat on its designated hanger she rushed to the living room to see her mum lying on the sofa with a cup of tea in her hands .

She didn't even get to say a hello before Florence knocked her over on the couch in a warm hug .Her mum gladly accepted before muttering a quick ' mind the tea ' comment .

" Something happened ?" She asked as Florence didn't seemed to be letting go .

And only if Florence could tell her all the things that happened to her before , how she finally got some sense of adventure she craved so badly .

But she couldn't , so instead she said the most mundane thing " Just a hard shift that's all " she smiled  .

Little did she know she nearly died twice .
