"Hi, good morning or good night. Uh, so like always and as most of you know, I like delivering messages and news to you through YouTube and I realised you deserve a video right now," You smiled slightly, "A couple of days ago, I woke up to so many people sending me links and screenshots of an interview of a person I had last been associated with in the Duch of Hearts concert and it didn't end on a good note.
Yes, Lucas and I had dated back when I was in university. We had stayed together for 6 months before mutually agreeing to end it because we thought we were better off as friends. I firmly believe in comfort and that relationships aren't forced. I didn't intentionally break anyone's heart and at the time, it was a mutual decision.
In 2018, Lucas reached out and we followed each other on Instagram as it's the only private social media platform I use. There was nothing between him and I but acquaintanceship, as we didn't keep in touch after graduating. I'm loyal to myself, to the person I'm with, to the title and my family and I acknowledge the responsibility of my title and status. I did not, in any way, send intimate pictures to Lucas, nor did I lose my virginity to him and I certainly don't appreciate being talked about as a sexual object or for my virginity to be a topic to be talked about, all without my consent.
The pictures that have been posted were published without my consent and I find that saddening more than it is infuriating. Invading someone's privacy, for whatever reason, is not okay and I don't appreciate it.
There was a time when I could've taken an action against this person but I chose not to, because I thought he was just starting to get his life together and instead, excused him, despite putting me in a very uncomfortable position and affecting me. I was threatened that all this would happen for the sake of stardom but chose to sleep on it and I didn't expect anything to happen years later.
As I said, I know my responsibilities towards the country and the people. But please know that I'm human, too. I deserve the freedom to love and have fun and enjoy what the world has to offer.
Once again, I apologise for the disturbance and the scene caused. I appreciate the support and love more than anything. And a side note but I also think it's very important is that I want everyone to know that it's okay to speak up. Thank you. Have a good day."
