Chapter II: The true gift
Katakuri stands alone on the forecastle deck. He stares at the ocean's horizontal, trying to stop thinking of what Cracker told him.
~Flashback~
"Niisan, Come on stop hitting me!" groaned Cracker as he rubbed the back of his neck from had been smacked by Katakuri. Katakuri glared at him coldly as he said, "Touma-sama told me to make sure that you are slacking off, Nii-chan" Katakuri grabbed his supplies for the mission. He walked to exit the door until he hears when Cracker said,
"Of course, Since (Y/n) is the one getting married-" Cracker had suddenly stopped when he noticed Katakuri had heard him. Katakuri didn't bother turning around but that did not mean his heart was not aching with envious and hatred for the unfair he felt.

Katakuri sighs as he tries to control his feeling of envy and rage with the idea of someone taking the person he loves the most. He continues to fighting his thoughts until he hears (Y/n) says in a monotone voice,
"K-Kata...Captain Katakuri, it is your snack time." She looks at him. Her eyes are puffy from sobbing only an hour ago, but she smiles at him. He nods. She turns to walk away but Katakuri grabs her arms and asks,
"You will join me in snack time-"
"Captain Katakuri, I can't. We are entering an enemy's territory-" she interrupts, hoping to wrestle her way out. She didn't know if she can hand being in the same room alone with katakuri and not lose it in front of him. However, Katakuri is stubborn; he isn't a fool to not see what she was trying to do as he says coldly,
"It is an order."
"Y-yes Captain.." (y/n) replied
They enter together into Katakuri's room, which had a tray with a gigantic amount of donuts waiting to be eaten. (Y/n) locks the door as Katakuri removes his scarf. (Y/n) leans her back against the door. She looks at Katakuri with a smile. She comments,
"It has been a while since I have seen that handsome face of yours, Captain." Katakuri sits on his bed, facing his back to her as he replies,
"Stop calling me Captain and you don't have to lie to me. I know I am a monster." (Y/n) pouts. She walks to the bed, then she sits down facing her back to him. She leans her back against his. She states,
"But I have no reason to lie to you, Katakuri. If anything, I am the monster, not you." She jumps a bit as she hears Katakuri's deep, rare chuckles. She giggles and asks,
"What is so funny, Kuri?"
Katakuri asks, "How are you a monster?" (Y/n) blushes. She answers,
" Because hmmm...Well I guess, I can sometimes, when I see something, I want is taken away from me. My heart gets filled with envy and hatred, even if I want to be happy for them... Sometimes, I ended up hurting people I care about." Katakuri thought about it bit before he speaks to (Y/n)
"Then I am no different from you, (y/n). But I have to ask, what do you want?" (Y/n) and Katakuri is blushing hard and grateful that are facing away from one to other. (Y/n) begins to stutter,
"Well I-I want..I want y...I want someone to love me, I guess... That is all I want to be honest. Or maybe a or two macarons hehe...And you?" (Y/n) looks up at the ceiling with a smile as tears quietly pour down her cheeks. Katakuri thought a bit and smiles. He says,
"That seems like you... I wanted to tell someone love, how I much I love her."
(Y/n) bites her lip as she feels her heart starting to hurt. She tries to be happy but her heart seems to be painfully breaking into two as she manages to say,
"I bet she is a lucky lady" She continues as her voice start to crack a bit from her quiet sobbing, " to get a guy like Katakuri-" She suddenly forces to spin around before she gets pin down onto Katakuri's bed. She looks up at Katakuri, who looks shocked to see his first mate cry. (Y/n) smiling sadly and asks,
