67. The Good Side

Loren POV

Here we are, Blake is at my doorstep. I head upstairs to get Ace who was now awake

"Hi papas, daddy is here" I say to my beautiful baby

"Hmmm daddy here?" He says getting his Spider-Man backpack

"Let's go baby, you're all packed?" I say while grabbing his hand and heading down stairs

Blake knocks twice and Ace runs to the door yelling

"Daddy!" He struggles to open the door so I open it for him

And there he was. The man who I treasured but lost meaning, the one I expected to live my life with.

Blake POV

"Brynn, I'm here for Ford!" I say as Brynn was trying to lecture me as well

"You fucked up with me and Loren. You are seriously so fucking stupid"

"I get it, thanks" I say walking away and heading up to Ford's room

Ford's room was one of my favorite places. One thing about Ford is he likes to take photos. He has photos of the sky, the beach, park and photos of Ace and Loren. There's one picture in particular that is my favorite. He took photos of  Loren and I with Ace in my arms for my birthday. That's the closest I'll get to see her, from 3 years ago.

"Hey buddy, you ready?" I say walking into Fords room

"Yeah daddy"

"Let's go get Ace!" I say

"Is Loren gonna be there this time?" Ford ask with hopeful eyes

"I'm not sure kiddo"

"Oh" he says with a frown heading downstairs

I follow him downstairs and we head out, the drive to Loren's was 20 minutes from Brynn's. Brynn and Loren started a friendship after a while before I made my mistakes, now they're almost best friends, Brynn is upset over the fact I cheated on Loren and always scolds me about it, but honestly who isn't?

We get to Loren's place and we wait a bit before we head out, I see I have an unread message from Briella saying "come whenever you're ready" from a couple hours ago meaning Ace has been ready, we get out and knock on the door.
"Daddy!" The door opens and there she was..

Loren POV

We looked at each other for a good twenty seconds before Ford hugs my waist

"Loren! I missed you, you look so pretty today like a princess" Ford smiles looking up at me

I get down to his eye level and kiss his cheek,
"Thank you Ford baby, I've missed you too" I say with a playful frown

"No sad Loren, be happy" he says hugging me

I felt sadness, Ford is a sweet baby and I've missed him. I can't let fear get in the way from seeing him anymore. Blake wasn't here for me and I wasn't there for him anymore

"Loren can we ta—"

"No, I actually have to head out" I say avoiding eye contact and looking at my watch

"Maybe coffee? We can go to Joe's Sweet Cafe. Your favorite" Blake says

I look at him and he looked defeated. A little desperate..

"Blake, I'm sorry. I can't" I say bending down to kiss Ace and Ford and walking into my house closing the door

I am not going through that again...

At the live studio

Drita came along with Maddy to the interview at the Real.

"He really tried to have coffee with you?" Drita laughs

"Yup" I roll my eyes

"Thank god you're over him. You need to move on, it's been three years since you've dated"

"Drita, I am well aware thanks"

The host of the show comes in and introduces herself

"Hey Loren, it's nice to have you today. I'm Gabi Lorrei"

"It's nice to meet you Gabi, thanks for having me" I say shaking her hand

"I am actually having you and RM on the show tonight, he's right next door if you'd like to meet him before the show"

RM is a famous member of a Korean boy band that is having huge success in the U.S.

"I've actually met RM before at an award show, I'll go visit him in a bit" I say with a smile

"Perfect, I always like having both guest meet before the show instead of introducing each other during the show"

"That's totally fine Gabi"

"Alright Ms. London, I'll see you in an hour" she says walking out

"So who's this RM?" Drita says with a smirk

"A FRIEND" I say while heading out

I head to RM's room and knock. He opens the door and smiles..

"Long time no see" he smirks

I jump into his arms and kiss him

"I've missed you baby"
