Plug them in
To tune us out
Drown in your music
Rather than shout.
Let no one hear
Yes, it's all for you
That just what your precious head phones intend to do.
Is it?
No, you swear its not
But what are those things?
Just chains with locks.
Rather than greeting someone
And saying hey
You plug up your ears
And press play
Trapped in your own world
And no one's invited
You like being alone
And cannot be excited
You say its a need
All to avoid a bore
But what's the point
When you just ignore
Try talking to people
It' not so hard
But you are afraid
And your head phones are your guard

In My Head
