(Frederick's POV)
"Mr. Grey, I have the papers you wanted, about the girl, Lola Gravett" Brenda told me, handing my a stack of papers
"Thank you" I said, taking them from her
She nodded her head and walked out of my office
I opend them and started reading
Good student, didn't get in fights, sweet with other kids, only missed 3 days of school, outstanding grades, never had any problem with the police
'Seems like she had a good childhood' I said to myself
When I got to her birth certificate, I looked down to find her father's name, but it was blank
I got my office phone and called Brenda
After two rings, she picked up
"Brenda, did you not find anything about her father" I asked her
"No, it was all blank. There's no registration of her even having a father" she told me
"Well look further down into her mother's life, I want to know everyone Lola's mother dated" I told her
"Why is this so important to you" she asked me after a while
"That's non of your business Brenda, just do what I'm telling you to do" I said and hung up the phone
I returned back to the papers, looking over them
Her records were spotless, not one bad thing about her.
She even helped out the kids at the orphanage
"There has to be something wrong with you, nobody is just perfect" I told myself, looking through all the papers in front of me
In less then 20 minutes, Brenda had returned, telling me that she still hadn't found anything about Lola's father
"Why are you bothering me then?" I asked her
"I found a man, his name was Brian Knight" she said, handing me 2 pieces of paper
"Who was he I asked her I have a record of him marrying Samantha Gravett in 1973" she told me
"That impossible, that would make Samantha, only 41. She looks about 50" I told said to her
Brenda didn't say anything to me, all she did was standing front of me
"Alright, if you find anything else, just let me know" I told her and turned to read the papers that she had given me
It must be illness that she has, it's making her look older than what you really is
"Brian Knight, he had been to jail for stealing. He was to married Samantha for 3 years, he didn't finish high school, and after they married and got divorced, he had been missing"
Huh, charming man
I went back to Lola's papers and looked down at her applications to all the art schools she had applied for and got exepted
Rhode Island School for Design, Yale University, Maryland Institute Collage of Art, and many more
It was obvious that she didn't mind leaving her home
I quickly got up from my chair and walked out of my office, after I hid all the papers of Lola and her family
"Brenda, if anyone calls, tell them I've for the evening and call Edgar and tell him to meet me outfront" I told Brenda as I put my coat on
