Surrounded by pitch black darkness
And intoxicating words of the mind.
Walking around with a hanging head
Full of despair.

Where is the light? The piercing white light
To save you from yourself and the world.
Is there “the light”? Does it really exist?
Unanswered questions and concerns remain mysteries.

Why don’t you try this?
Instead of dwelling on negativity and empty thoughts
Or waiting for a savior, or for a glistening chance to fall onto your lap.
Do it, make it happen. Don’t wait around for it to come you,
You need to go and capture it.

All you need is some hope
To encourage and to empower you.
Keep the faith with in you alive for another day
For another week, for another month, and for another year.
Don’t give up on your doorstep, questioning your existence
Or your sanity, or your future.

If you have hope,
Things will begin to brighten.
So, rid your mind of those malicious and depressing thoughts
And place your mind to rest with positivity and ambition.
Raise your head high in the sky
With a beaming smile of confidence.
Because hope is on your side.
