“Notice me,
Respect me,
And love me.
I want to matter to you,” he muttered.
_____
“What do I have to do,
To gain your attention?
Was stealing my heart,
Not enough for you?,” he pleaded.
_____
“I can’t shower money, jewelry,
Or materialist ideas over you.
But I can lather tender kisses, gentle caresses on your precious skin
And softly whisper sweet nothings into your ticklish ears.
But that’s not what you want, right?
That’s not enough for you, right?
Right. No, it’s not,” he said.
_____
“I’m sorry. I’m deeply, utterly sorry
For not being the Prince Charming
You will never receive.
So continue to dream about him, Princess,
Because this prince is gone,
Searching for a princess who will notice me,
respect me,
and love me.
I will matter to her, not you,” he sighed in relief.
