Logan

He didn't know what had gotten him into this situation. Worse, he didn't know how to escape it. What was he supposed to do? Somehow, he had ended up resting on Sparrow's head, where she lay comfortably on his shoulder, eyes closed with a frown on her face.

She couldn't even smile in her dreams, could she? The entire trip, all she wore was a grim, uninterested gaze with her eyebrows knit together and the corners of her lips pulled down. Logan thought, out of anyone visiting Cimeria this summer, she would've been the happiest.

As Logan attempted to scoot away--desperately hoping that she had fallen asleep before he had--he realized that his possessed body had commanded his arm to wrap itself around Sparrow's waist.  He paled. Oh, no. If Sparrow woke up and saw this, she'd think he was trying to make a move.

Again. The second day of their trip was over, and was almost to be over. And every single time Logan fell asleep on the dreary flight, he would awaken in a position similar to this and Sparrow would laugh at him.

Logan inched his arm away as slowly as he could, but alas, he had no success. If he moved any further, Sparrow would fall and the demon beast would be awakened. The king himself had warned Logan to steer clear of her morning personality for that persona was especially evil.

A voice rang over the intercom, stating that their was still another five hours to this flight. He groaned. Really? He couldn't stand it any longer.

Just then, Sparrow stirred. Logan froze and glanced at her. Was she awake? Was he going to be laughed at again? Teased for secretly liking her? Please, anything but that! He had enough blushing to last him a lifetime.

To his relief, she didn't seem to wake up. At the same time, that was bad. He really needed to move his arm. No matter how much he liked that he was holding her in a way that no one else would probably get to hold her, he had no intention of blubbering words that would make Sparrow laugh.

"If you really want to move your arm, just do it," she muttered in a low voice.

How did she--

"I can read minds."

He sighed a breath of utter exasperation. How long was she going to keep up this mind-reading facade? All throughout the flight, she predicted everything he did and chose. There was some reason behind it, but all she ever revealed was that she was trained to be a mind-reader.

Freak. Why was he her bodyguard? They should've just hired a Greek mythology teacher and she would've stayed inside all day long to talk.

Sparrow suddenly removed her head from his shoulder to sit up straight. Oddly, Logan found the lack of weight on his shoulders wrong, like her head should be laying there. A cold feeling settled on his arms and he received a strange urge to shake it off.

"Five more hours, right?" she yawned. "I want coffee. My eyes hurt. I'm tired. Why aren't we there yet?"

"Shut up," he muttered. "Are you Queen of Complaints? You whine about everything," he snapped. "Leave my mind to peace. Go to the bathroom if your eyes hurts. Or go back to sleep if you're still tired."

She made a face at him, and a demonic gleam twinkled in her dark brown eyes. Or...was there really something shiny in her eye? Logan tried to lean in to examine them, but Sparrow was already up, throwing her hood onto her head as she headed into the aisle.

Wow. Sparrow was going to listen to him? That was...weird. She made a weird motion with her hands, unwilling to speak. At last, he realized she wanted her backpack. Sighing, he grabbed it for her.
