i walk into school and someone's arms wrap around my neck.
i turn around and see nadia turner.
"um- hey nadia!" i nervously say.
"johnny!" she kisses the side of my cheek.
"what are you doing here?" i ask.
"don't you know?" she asks,
"know what?" i furrow my eyebrows together.
"i moved to la, i tried to call you but it looked like you got a new number." nadia said.
"did you forget we broke up?" i question.
"n-no i didn't." she stutters.
i feel bad for breaking up with her sometimes.
"look johnny, i know you moving back to la was a relive for yourself since you think i'm too clingy." nadia utters.
"i don't think you're clingy." i reply.
"yes you do. you don't need to lie."
"i'm sorry." i mumble.
"it's okay. i've changed and realized a lot right after you moved." she smiles.
i walk up to everyone's lockers since they're across from each other with nadia.
"who's that?" hayden asks.
"nadia, my ex girlfriend." i answer.
hayden forms an 'O' shape with his lips.
"nadia, why are you here?" lauren questions.
"i moved to la and my parents enrolled me here i guess." she says.
lauren pulls me aside and whispers, "why is she acting so calm and not jumping all over you?"
"at first she was but then told me how she realized things after we moved." i shrug.
"well okay then but be on the lookout in case of anything." lauren says.
"h-hi i'm mackenzie but call me kenzie." kenzie greets nadia.
"hi kenzie!" she smiles.
carson leans over to me and whispers, "this is so awkward."
"i know." i mouthed.
just then the bell rings.
"what's your first period?" i ask nadia.
"history." she answers.
"same let's go." i smile.
