My hands were shaking as I drove home, he was in no condition to drive. I tried to try to persuade him to get another night at the hotel so he could just think and breathe. His emotions were everywhere and I didn't know what was going to reach the surface. All I saw was anger, sadness, denial, sadness, denial, anger and now, nothing. I didn't know what to do as I drove in silence.

I let him have his space and silence till I knew we were close. I looked over to him as he just sat there looking out the window "Hey we could go to my house -" "No I need to go home" he whispered simply then looked over to me "Do you want to go home?" He asked and I shook my head. Of course I didn't want to go home, I was kind of scared of what he would do. "Do you want me to?" "No" he stated and I nodded.

"Give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe had a reason" I whispered but he didn't respond. I still hope he would let that sink in before we got to his house. Maybe I could stall a little bit. Right on cue my stomach growled and he looked at me. "Want to stop to get something to eat?" I nodded. I pulled into checkers and happily parked instead of going to the drive thru. "You want anything?" He shook his head no but I planed on getting him something anyway.

I ordered, waited a few till they pass it to me and I walked back to the car. "I got you a burger and fries" He shook his head. "Cam, please. You didn't eat all today. Just a few bites is on asking for" I begged passing it to him and he quietly grabbed it starting to eat. I sat quietly eating and taking my time even after he finished. I know what you're doing" he stated and I swallowed hard. "What -" "You're trying to stall me from going home"

"Yeah I am. Just want to let you coo-"It's not, just makes me more pissed. I want him to explain but you're not letting that happen so I'm thinking of the worst-case scenarios" he stated and I frowned. "Sorry thought it would help" "Its okay, thank you for coming with me" he whispered and I nodded starting the car again.

Before I could actually park the car, he was already out heading to the house. I cut the car off getting out quickly unlocking it. He left the door open and once I stepped in, he was nowhere in sight. I walked up the steps nervous and heard his voice. "One more chance to tell me the truth Mike" he spat and I hurried to the room as his father looked at him confused. "Tell you what?" He asked. "Cam" I whispered nervous.

"Go wait in the car" he ordered not even looking back. "Please just -" "Go to the car" he ordered. I wanted to listen but my feet wouldn't move. "Just calm down" "Calm down? You lied to me my whole life. All I asked for was the truth" he roared making me jump. "It shouldn't change anything. It shouldn't matter" his father yelled and it felt like it was in slow motion as Cameron's fist connected with his face.

"Stop" I yelled as Cameron slammed him against the wall. I ran to them trying to do something. I grabbed his jacket pulling as hard as I could as he hit him again "Cameron stop!" I cried scared as I saw blood and he froze up letting him go. He turned to me with a hard face. "Let's go" I whispered begging. He looked away, got up and walked past me.

My eyes went to his father as he wiped his mouth. I hurried out of the room to the kitchen and grabbed a towel wetting it and grabbing ice in a bag quickly cursing at my shaking hands. I walked back quietly passing it to him and he looked up taking it. "I'm so sorry. I thought he calmed down-" "It's not your fault. Its not his either, it's mine. I should've told him before he found out another way. It's a lot to take in at one time" "I know you meant no harm though"

"I still should have" he said getting up and I followed. "W-" I was cut off as Cameron grabbed my hand pulling me out of the room and out of the house as he held another bag in his hand.
