Ughh she's so annoying. Either complaining about me always being in my room or they're complaining about me going out all the time. If it wasn't that, it was my clothes or music

They aren't very fond that I listen to The Neighbourhood, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Demi Lovato, One direction more than their music which are oldies like Isley brothers, Earth wind and fire, and Stevie wonder but hey, I loved it.

My parents really needed to relax. They should be happy I'm not doing drugs or getting in any trouble. I just obsess over bands and artist.

I pulled into the big house and was surprised. It wasn't a mansion but I had to be a lot of money to get this. Once I parked my car I got out and grabbed my bag and he came out of the house smiling.

Just the plain tee and jeans looked amazing on him.

"Hey" he said and I smiled "Hey, nice house" I said looking around.

"Thanks, come on" he said motioning for me to follow and I did. Once I walked in, there were a few steps going up and a few going down.

"We'll be working down in my room but I'm grabbing something to eat want anything?" "I'll just take some water" I whispered going up the steps.

Instantly, a little dog ran to me jumping and I laughed getting down on my knees. It was so cute, it was like a small black and white furry wolf.

"What kind of dog is this?" I asked smiling as I ran over the fur "It's a Pomsky" "Might have to kidnap your dog"I joked and he laughed. "Her name is Oreo"

"Hello" I looked up to see a older man smiling at me. I quickly got up putting the dog down "Hi I'm Leah" I said holing my hand out and he shook it smiling. "Nice to meet you Leah" he said.

"That's my dad" Cameron said and I nodded. "Told you you'd make new friends" he said happy and Cameron rolled his eyes. "Okay time to get to work"

"So topics" he said and I shrugged as he sat down. I didn't know and I really didn't care honestly. "I'm fine with anything I just want to do this and get it over with before any other teachers start their 'let's throw everything in now crap' he laughed.

"True but she's going to ask why we picked it... you're gonna bullshit it aren't you?" He asked laughing. "I was but... Fine, maybe we could pick something together. What do you like?" "Surfing, reading, cooking you?"

"Umm writing-" "Really? What kind? He asked interested and I shrugged. "Just fiction, for fun though" I reassured. "So you're not majoring in writing for college?" "No I'm going for social work. What about you?"

"Business and accounting. I want to join my dad at his job. It's all I every wanted to do since I was a kid. He runs Michael Entertainment studios. Once he opens the one in L.A, I'm going"

"Really? That's where I'm going" I said smiling and looked around his room spotting a guitar.

"You play?" I shook my head laughing. "I wish. Play something" I said excited and he laughed. "I don't know that many songs" He said getting up to get it. "It's fine play whatever you know" I reassured turning to him and he nodded.

Once he played a few strings I instantly knew the song. Undone by Ed Sheeran.

"I can't move my fingers that quick and my fingers can stretch that far" I pouted and he laughed passing me a slice of pizza.

"Yeah you do have small hands" I glared at him and he laughed even harder. "But they're cute" I smiled back and looked down grabbing my pizza.

"So now that we know our topic, when do you want to start the poster board?" He asked.

"How about Thursday?" "I have work after school. What about Friday?" He asked. "I have prom committee how about after five?"

"So you're going?" He asked and I shook my head. "Why not?" He asked. "I don't know, not really up to it. I'm just going to set up and pick stuff for it. Counts as volunteer work too" I explained.

"Are you going?" I asked and he shook his head. "Why not?" "I keep getting asked by these girls I never saw or spoke out of no where. Feels like it's just the competition and I'm going to be shown off" he said annoyed.

"'If you come with me. I'll make the night worth your wild' All that crap" he said and a little part of me was happy. He didn't plan on going with someone like that, even though he could and they could make his night 'worth his wild'.

It showed me he didn't go for girls like that.

"So what did you tell them?" "I'm going with someone already" he simply said.

"Rather go with someone actually can talk to and like but that's not going to happen so rather not go" I nodded.

"You still have time to find someone. You should still go, don't want to miss out on it right?" I asked smiling.

"This coming from the girl not going" he shot back and I rolled my eyes. "You'll regret it too" I know.

"This is one of the highlights of high school. The last hurrah before graduation and everyone goes their separate ways"

"Why don't we just have a I don't care about prom night. Movies, food, eat till we can't move. It sounds more fun anyway" I lied.

I've always wanted to go to prom. But no one ask me unlike my friends who got tons of asks.

He wouldn't know that either. I don't need him pitying me.

"You know that sounds great. We could do that or, we should go to prom together" he offered.

"What?"

"Well we both don't have dates, we want each other to go and we enjoy each other's company. Why not have fun in formal clothing? We can still do the movies and food night after" he suggested smiling.

I was trying to hide a smile coming cause I wasn't sure if he was serious "Are you serious? I asked he nodded smiling.

"Only if you want" he added waiting.

"On one condition" I said smiling.

"What?"

"Our color is turquoise"

I know it's slow boring now but it will get better!! I promise!!
