Today I choose to appreciate all the experiences I've manifested in my life
I appreciate all the moments I have fought to survive and thrived
For I know that at the end of the day, I did all I wanted to do and more
Even when I didn't understand the true meaning of unconditional love
I was always able to find a way to let go of things I couldn't control
And to understand that no one could deny me the willpower I hold
There was no one to blame for the perceived wrongturns I made
I am grateful to know that all my experiences weren't mistakes
I love the knowledge that I am in charge of where I choose to be
It's liberating to feel appreciation for every reflection of me that I see
The empowerment I feel from the connection with my mind, body, and spirit
Translates to everything that I think, see, hear, and feel it
Life is the sweetest when I connect with the power within
Even when I am not sure if I'll make it through thick and thin
I know that in the end, my happiness depends on no one but me
So today I want to express my unconditional love for the world
And I want to inspire you to know that you can make it on your own
This is a choice we all get to make
No matter who thinks that it isn't worth to take
We have the free will to choose our everyday path
And enough willpower to carry on without the need to look back.
