I was so happy when I learned that I was going to write my own story for class. I'm not the biggest writer in the face of the Earth, but I wanted to write something that means the world to me. Racism is just that. Racism is a big problem in America and has been for some time now. I wanted to show that two people can come together and fight racism. I also wanted to put a little bit of myself in this story. You may know that I'm in love with the 80s so I put my favorite 80s actor "River Phoenix" in this story. I also named Ellamara after Ellamara from the book "Cinder and Ella." Which was one of the first books I really like. Ellamara from the book was strong, and never stop fighting for what she believe in. Now if you look closely you will see some names that you may or may not know. I added these names to remember the young black boys that died, from the hand of cops. I want to remember the good and bad of the 1950s and 60s. And I want to give hope to others.
