(A week later)
It's been a week, and River hasn't been around the house much. Every time he's in here I see the pain in his eyes. He misses mom and dad. And I get that. I haven't been in their room, and I can't stand to see pictures of them in the house. On the news I see the KKK have been killing more black people. And I'm getting mad, because the sheriff and the Mayor have done nothing to help the south side. All he cares about is the north side. And that's not right. I may not have a lot of money, and I'm not white. But I do have feelings, and I'm a person too.
