Pointless popularity

I gave up on trying being one of the cool kids, year after year of trying, I gave up. I remembered you were born original, so don’t a copy. I figured out during my 3rd grade school year that being popular is pointless because the times are always changing, what is cool today won’t be a week, so I promised not to be a part of a trend or fad, and I just steered clear of it . Inadvertently, I became what I avoided, I wonder how though? That a question I been trying to answer myself to this very day, most likely when I was younger I never cared about being popular and I still don’t. I just roll with flow, and focused on being me, surprisingly life became a lot smoother when I made this choice, now I still have the same outlook on the subject, but I’m also a nicer and mellower person than before. Popularity is a worthless accessory, which is worth more trouble than it’s supposed to be.
