"It will be a short walk. You just need some fresh air" I tell Chelsea as I pull her window blinds open

"I guess" Chelsea sighed then pulled a jacket over her arms

--

We exited the dorm building. The sunny sky warming my face.

Chelsea quickly realized she didn't need her jacket and shook it off of her, then draped it over her arm

There was the faint sounds of birds chirping; flying from one tree to another

"This is nice" Chelsea uttered. She folded her arms and looked towards the clouds

"Of course it is. It was my idea, after all" I nudged her lightly

She gave me a small smirk before rolling her eyes

"Aww!" Chelsea stopped abruptly, before beginning  to walk at a faster pace, handing me her jacket to hold

"What?" I ask

"Look at the puppy!" She squealed, quickly picking up the puppy and snuggling it to her chest "how cute" She turned back towards me

"Shouldn't you be more careful with that thing? It could have rabies or something" I say

"Oh please. It's harmless" she said, returning her attention to the small Beagle "since when are you cautious, anyway"

"Whatever" I laughed, waking towards Chelsea to pet the dog

"It doesn't have a collar" she furrowed her brow, searching the dogs neck once more

"He must not have an owner" I said, glancing up at Chelsea

"Poor thing!" Chelsea frowned, then shot her glance up at me. The sparkle now gleaming in her eyes.

"What?" I stopped petting the dog "why are you looking at me like that?"

"We should take the dog home!" She said. Her voice going up a few octaves.

We? My heart lifted as I realized she combined her and I as 'we'. But we can't just keep a dog in the dorm rooms. We would easily get caught

"Home; as in the dorm building? That doesn't allow dogs?" I said, trying to pull her back into reality

"Yes. That home" she said, not backing down

"Where are you going to keep it?" I tucked my hands into my pockets

"My room! I don't have a roommate, so I have plenty of space" her gaze refused to unlock from mine. "Please?"

There's no way I can decline this opportunity. This can be a way for Chelsea and I to bond. Taking care of a dog will show Chelsea I'm responsible.

"Fine" I sighed "it's not like me saying you couldn't do it was going to stop you anyway" I smirked "why did you even ask me, by the way" I added

She stood there for a minute cuddling the dog, then she exhaled deeply and shrugged.

"I dunno. But you said yes" she grinned "now lets sneak this puppy into my dorm room"

"Here" I pulled Chelsea closer to me and helped her put her jacket back on "put him in the jacket. I'll walk right in front of you"

We scurried into the building, checking the halls and stairways before entering. Sneakily, we got to Chelsea's room

-Chelsea-

"Phew" I breathed, freeing the puppy on to the floor "he's a quiet dog" I stated, taking a seat on my bed "So. What should we name him" I pulled my legs up onto the bed, folding them under myself
