We keep saying save us,
But we're the ones killing ourselves,
Why save a dying generation,
If they're just going to kill themselves?
Now this might be hard to comprehend,
And you have to allow your mind to bend,
Like the rules that we break
From day-to-day,
Because were too scared to face,
What's killing us.
Pills, drugs, guns and blades,
The weapons of this new age.
Forget the rope and brick,
We want it done quick,
Pain free and easy.
So don't bother killing our generation,
We can do that ourselves...
Guess you could say we're quite independent.
To smile and pretend it,
To use a gun and have our own pills,
But it's a different story when the barrel is facing us.
So yes we're a dying nation,
Slit wrists ,
and scared hearts.
We're all addicted to something that takes the pain away, right?
Oh I forgot,
Whether it's Instagram posts,
Or depressing jokes,
Maybe even a pill here and there,
Not to forget we're addicted to fear.
We've started a pandemic of our own,
Just look how much we've grown!
Suicidal girls, oh why?
Suicidal boys... Just why?
Who was patient zero?
Because they're such a hero,
To be able to start such a pandemic,
Thank you for our dying generation.
Don't bother killing us,
Don't bother saving us...
We're an easy way out,
And a depressing nation,
Ending it all with a standing notation...
