☹☹☹

"so she was literally walking with a stranger and rambling on about her life, thinking the person was me. it was the funniest sight ever!" luke said, letting out a loud laugh.

i started to crack up at another one of his embarrassing stories about ellie, as tears started prickling my eyes.

"oh my god, i'm gonna die laughing." luke breathed out,

ellie sat peacefully in the corner, as she scribbled onto her notebook not noticing me and luke laughing about her.

"she's like a reality show," i chuckled,

"yeah, the funniest things happen to her," luke agreed,

"hey, where do you live?" i asked him

"i stay at the apartment nearby, it's nothing too fancy," he replied,

"sweet, so you moved from australia?" i grinned,

he nodded, "i moved here a month after i turned 18,"

i nodded my head, feeling a bit awkward since silence filled the room.

luke stood up, brushing the dust off his jeans.

"well, i better be going. bye ellie! bye mike!" he waved to us, as he left.

i motioned ellie to sit next to me, and she obeyed placing her notebook in front of her.

"may i?" i ask, gesturing to the notebook.

she softly bit her lip, then nodded slowly.

i opened the notebook and flipped through the pages, it was filled with poems.

mostly about heartbreaks,

"why are most of the poems about a heartbroken girl" i ask, as she looks down.

"because i was - i'm still heartbroken." she replies sadly,

"who made you so heartbroken?" i frown,

"my ex boyfriend, ashton."

-

wait ashton? broke? her? heart??
