Hey guys it's been a while!

Hair types. Until I did some research on the subject of hair typing, I didn't realize that there are multiple different hair typing systems (I've always used Andre Walker's system without realizing there were others). So, I'm going to talk about the main characteristics of hair types 3c-4c and explain why I personally don't like the hair typing system.

3C Hair:
- Curly-coily hair
- Curls resemble corkscrews around the size of a pencil
- Typically quite a lot of shrinkage
- Densely packed together
- Fine textured

4A Hair: (noticeable S pattern):
- Coily hair
- Fine/Wiry coils around the size of a crotchet needle
- Typically a lot of shrinkage
- Densely packed together (usually thick appearance)
- Can be fine textured

4B Hair (Z pattern):
- Coily hair
- Tighter, less defined and around the size of an ink pen
- A lot of shrinkage (75% or less)
- Densely packed together
- Strands can be wiry/coarse/fine/thin

4C Hair (No defined curl patterns):
- Coily hair
- Little to no definition (without twist out, braid out, etc)
- A lot of shrinkage (75% or more)
- Densely packed together
- Strands can be super fine/soft/coarse/wiry

I've never really been into using the whole hair typing system because I find it very confusing to distinguish some hair types from others

I've never really been into using the whole hair typing system because I find it very confusing to distinguish some hair types from others. Also as I've grown older, I've found that my hair type has kind of changed. Unlike 4C hair, my hair has a defined curl pattern however, I experience 75% or more shrinkage. This is because the hair typing system does not take other factors into consideration such as hair porosity, hair density etc. Still to this day I have no idea what hair type my hair is even with the pictures.

Comment below:
What is your hair type? Does anyone have any idea what my hair type is as I have been wondering😂😂😂? Do you use the hair typing system?

Any questions, feel free to ask.
