I met a new friend today. Her name is Julia and she sits a few rows ahead of me in class. It’s nice to have a friend here, it makes it a little less scary. We aren’t allowed to sit beside each other at breakfast or during morning Mass since we have assigned seats, but we play together during recess.

Julia knows all kinds of fun games to play. Just yesterday, she showed me this game where you have to clap your hands to the other person’s hand in some sort of pattern. As hard as I try, I never get it right. It’s still fun though and Julia says that the more I do it, the easier it gets. I hope she’s right.
