Six o'clock was nearing and I had to get ready for this date—if I could even really call it that. I texted Hunter asking where he was planning on taking me so that I'd have an idea of how I should dress. In short he said "dress casual", which helped me pick an outfit easily because that's what majority of my wardrobe consisted of anyway.
Which actually reminds me, I need to do some shopping for more business formal wear for my new job. I'd have to borrow money from Celine, I'll just pay her back when I start making money.
I stood in stuck in front of my closet despite having lots of options. I didn't want to look bland, but I also didn't want to make it look like I was trying.
I finally settled for a blue cropped turtle neck shirt, a denim jacket, and black knee-ripped jeans. I paired the outfit with black ankle heeled boots to finish the look.
I head to the bathroom to do my makeup; I was going for a natural look. I sprayed on some perfume and brushed out my already straight hair. I went back to my room to look in my full length mirror and could finally say I was ready.
Hunter made it pretty clear he would be the one picking me up, he wanted where we were going to be a surprise. I shot him a quick text earlier with my apartment address so he'd know where to go.
I checked my watch to see the time, he should be here any minute now.
Breathe in, breathe out
Nothing to worry about just a couple friends going out to celebrate, no biggie.
As if he could sense my inner turmoil, a knock came from the door. I took a breathe and then walked to open the door. I pulled the door open and there he stood looking like the snack he is.
He spoke first "Hey" he said with a beaming smile, perfect teeth in full display and all.
"Um...Hi" I said nervously, a smile slowly graces my face as I start to blush the more he stared at me.
"You look nice by the way"
"Oh thank you...so do you" I complimented back after surveying his fit
"so you ready to go?" I said which seemed to snap him back to reality
"Oh yeah yeah" He nodded "let's get going"
I quickly grabbed my bag that was by the door and stepped out.
Hunter walked a bit forward waiting for me as I shut the apartment door and lock it behind me. After doing so, we walked in unison down to where his car is parked.
