I walked in cautiously, not exactly sure what to expect.

" Shaleece!" The man at the bar exclaimed.

"Tom!" She replied. Shaleece? Nice name. Better than mine anyways.

She walked towards the bar. Guess I'm following her.

"Who's this?" He said, eyeing me down skeptically.

"Uh.. this is.." Shaleece started, but trailled off, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion.

"Uh, I'm Valerie, Valerie Leigh." I inroduced myself, nevously.

He looked at me like I was speaking jibberish.

"Where you from?" He asked, putting his elbows on the bar, looking at me intently.

"A-Australia." I stuttered.

"She just got her letter, Tom. She's staying here for awhile. But for now, we best be off." She said, notioning to an old alley way.

"Alright, alright." He muttured. He snapped his fingers and the bags dissapeared. A look of concern crossed my face.

He noticed and chuckled.

"Don't worry, love. come back later after your... shopping. And I'll give you your room key." He said, turning to serve a customer.

Shaleece pulled me towards the alley way, towards a brick wall.

"Genius." I said, sarcasm dripping off the word.

"Urgh. Might as well be a muggle." She muttered, rummaging around in her bag for something.

"Ahah!" She exclamed in victory as she pulled out... a stick?

She tapped the bricks in a pattern and waited.

Just as I was about to roll my eyes and make a witty remark, the bricks moved to form a passage way.

My eyes widened as far as they could possibly manage.

"Welcome." She said, gesturing inside. "To Diagon Alley."
