Lucy's POV

I sit bolt upright in bed, breathing heavily as my heart beats fast and tears roll down my cheeks. I immediately turn on the lights and look around, panicking a bit when I don't recognize the place but then I remember where I am and why I'm here.

FLASHBACK

"Goose. Wake up. We're here." Ian gently says, trying to wake me up.

"Where are we?" I ask once I open my eyes and see a wood cabin in the middle of what looks like a forest.

Ian picked me up at 7 and we got in the car. Seeing how tired I was Ian told me to get some rest because it would take us an hour or so to arrive at where our date would take place. At first, I didn't want to but I ended up taking a nap so I could enjoy our date. He never told me where we were going and now that we're here I'm really curious to see what he came up with.

"Garibaldi Provincial Park." He replies once Elvis and I get off the car, "It's getting cold, we should probably get inside. I'll explain everything there."

"Ok." I say and we start walking towards the cabin. When we reach the front door Ian takes a key out of his pocket and opens it. The first floor has a living room with a fireplace, a kitchen and a huge widow that must lead to some kind of backyard.

"I thought we were going on a date... like dinner and a movie or something."

"Oh, but we are. Our proper date is tomorrow night. But I thought a weekend away would be good for you. You've been working like crazy lately and I know how tired you have been so here we are."

"Thank you so much!" I say and I wrap my arms around him. "This is so thoughtful of you and I really appreciate it."

"I'm glad you liked it." He says and hugs me back.

"I don't have any clothes here." I suddenly say after we let go of each other.

"Actually," he starts, "you do. They're in the trunk of my car."

"But how..? How did you get my clothes and how did you plan all of this in less than 24 hours?"

"I asked your housekeeper to help me with the clothes. As for the booking and planning I may or may not have been planning this for a while." He replies, smirking.

"And how did you know I would agree to come?" I ask.

"Oh, I knew you wouldn't just agree to come so I dared you last night."

"What if I'd won?"

"Then I guess I would have had to come up with something else."

"I'm glad you won. I'm really happy we're here."

"Me too." He replies, smiling. "I'm going to go get our things from the car then I'll show you upstairs."

"Ok." I reply and he leaves. I sit on the couch with Elvis on my lap and smile. Ian never ceases to surprise me. When he said we were going on a date I thought we were going to do what everyone usually does but he came up with this and I'm really glad he did. I know how much he cares about me and these little things are proof of that. I mean, no one has ever done anything like this and it makes my heart melt.

"Here they are." He says as he walks in and places 2 small suitcases on the ground. "Also Elvis' food and toys are in the kitchen and his bed is by the door."

"Thank you."

"My pleasure. Do you wanna go upstairs? I'll show you your bedroom."
