Chapter One

*starts out with Alicia in the car garage being stolen from *

"He doesn't have the keys I do SO STOP" Alicia said as she took the keys out of her pocket about to hand it to the soldiers

"Wouldn't be wise to grab those keys " A pretty young girl says as she steps out of the dark with a gun in each hand ,pointing them at the soldiers

As they reached for there guns The girl had already shot two ending the third.

Alicia grabbed Chris an pulled him back not knowing why this girl had saved them.

"Don't worry I don't want anything that you have " the girl responded to the action"My names Elyza by the way"

"I'm Alicia an this is Chris "Alicia said motioning to the passed out boy

"my step brother"Alicia added quickly

"Ah ,I see " Elyza reloaded her guns an was about to walk into the building as Everyone came out an blocked ithe door behind them

"MOM,NICK"Alicia yelled as she ran to hug them

Madison turned torwards Elyza ,her hand gripped on her own gun

"It's ok mom she saved us,they"Alicia said pointing to the soldiers body's "tried to steal the SUV an she shot them "

Alicia realized how bad that could potentionally sound out loud,she waited for her moms response.

"Thank you...Elyza"Madison said nodding towards Elyza

Elyza was focused on the door "I have to get in there "Elyza looked back at them

"We'll you can't ,the infected are swarming the inside"Travis said from the background as he steps up next to Madison

"It is sustainable it is a large housing unit which if secured could be the safest place"Elyza said as her eyes filled with tears an her hopes disappeared "this was all that was left,my family all died before me in a car accident 7 years ago I should have died with them but now I will be killed here..by the infected"

"That's not true..you could come with us"Alicia said as her cheeks got rosy "we're going to the desert you could come too,after all you saved us"

Alicia looked at her mom with the same pleading eyes Alicia would give her mom when she asked to stay out late with Matt

Before Madison could respond Andy slowly walked out from behind Travis's truck aiming a gun at Daniel

"Andy"Ofelia said as she got up slowly to get closer to her father "Andy stop,you don't have To do this"

Andy aimed his gun at Ofelia instead but before he could pulled the trigger Elyza had interfered an shot Andy in his chest,he fell to the ground an every one watched as his chest slowly stop moving

Madison looked at Elyza "You can come"

Elyza nodded an followed Alicia into the SUV which was full if supplies so it was just her an Alicia

"Thank you...for ya know ...preventing them from killing Chris an I"Alicia said as she followed Travis's truck down the deserted streets of LA

"No problem"Elyza said as she watched Alicia drive

Elyza noticed the beautiful lines around Alicia's mouth as she smiled an how Alicia's vibe put her at ease an relaxed her more than she had been in 7 years

"So what happened to you guys"Elyza prompted Alicia to speak

"A lot,infected ,locked in a camp,...losing Matt"Alicia's eyes filled with tears she tried to ignore
