Chapter 8

The next day all we did was take down the haunted house and hang out at Candice's house. I was telling her all about the conversation Chace and I had last night. I left out the part of him telling me to see if I was wet. That would've been awkward. While I was telling her, she had this devious grin on her face.

"Maybe at homecoming next Saturday he will fuck you." She teases.

"Maybe I won't let him." I tell her.

"Yeah right. If Chace Crawford went up to any girl at homecoming and went, 'Hey let's fuck', they would let him fuck them." She says to me.

"He wouldn't just go up to any girl." I say quietly.

"Yeah? What kind of girls does he like?" She asks raising an eyebrow.

"He likes submissives, innocents, and girls who know what they want." I blush knowing which one I am.

"Innocents?"

"Virgins. He thinks that because they've never done anything it's the hottest thing in the world." I explain.

"So he thinks your hot." She states. I roll my eyes at her.

"I don't know what he thinks about me. I mean he told me if I were to whisper his name in his ear he'd fuck me against the lockers. But he also told me he would choose a date with Chelsey over anything."

"Typical."

"Do you think he's going to go to homecoming with Chelsey?" I ask her.

"Who knows. But guess what!"

"You're going with Mikey?" I guess.

"Well he hasn't asked me yet. But I know someone who's going to ask you." She says to me. I look at her with my eyebrow raised.

"Oh really? Who?" I ask sarcastically.

"Jeff. He thinks something could spark between you two." She tells me. Jeff was an attractive guy, but like I said before, that kiss didn't mean anything.

"Does he know that me kissing him didn't mean anything?" I ask her.

"I don't know. But what are you going to say? Because we know Chace isn't asking you. Not with Chelsey." Wow, that one hurt a bit.

"I might as well say yes. I mean I've had my dress since the summer." I say more to myself than her.

"Plus, free homecoming ticket. And he's a junior I think." Candice adds in. I look over at her and smirk.

"Is he?"

"I think so."

"Are all of Chace's friends older than him?" I ask out loud.

"No. We're his friends, and we are freshman." She tells me.

"Very true. We are the freshman in the group." I say.

"So you're going to say yes to Jeff?" She asks me.

"Yeah I think I am." I say to her.

"Good. You'll have a lot of fun with him." She smiles at me. I smile back.

The next morning as I was at my locker Jeff walked up to me. He smiled and leaned on the locker next to mine. He still had the black eye.

"So when do you think that's going to heal?" I ask him as I grab the books out of my locker.

"I'm not sure yet. I'm hoping before homecoming." He says to me.

"Why did Jordan punch you anyways?" I ask while closing my locker.

"It's not important. We were drunk and rough housing is all." He says quickly.

"Oh okay. Makes sense." I smile up at him.

"Hey I was wondering something." He starts. I laugh internally, already knowing what he was going to ask me.

"What is it?" I put on the best curious voice I could.

"I was wondering if you would like to g-"

"Hey Porter!" Chace cuts Jeff off as he walks up to us. Jeff shoots him a look.

"Can you hold on for a second? Jeff was asking me something." I say to Chace.

"Go ahead." Chace says and stands there with his arms crossed. He was glaring at Jeff. I wonder why.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go to homecoming with me." Jeff says smiling.

I don't know why, but the next line to come out of my mouth was not what I had planned. I had just planned to say of course and then hug him. But for some reason, whether it was because Chace was standing right there or not, I winked at Jeff and said to him, "You'll just have to convince me."

"Feisty, I like it. How can I convince you?" Jeff leaned against the lockers with a smug smile on his face. I heard a scoff from Chace who was watching the entire thing with a sour look on his face.

"Kiss me again." I wink. Jeff lifts himself from the lockers and brings me in close. He kissed me again. It didn't feel like anything still, but I liked how it felt to tease Chace. He pulls away and looks at me. "You win." I say and peck his cheek. "I'd love to go with you."

"Awesome. I'll text you later." Jeff says while walking away. I wave and then turn to Chace. He had a hard look across his face. The bell rings before he could say anything so I decided while he was still quiet to test his theory.

I got really close to him and then said as seductively as I could, "Bye Chace." He put his hands on my hips and gripped them extremely tight and pushed me against the lockers. I could feel something pressed against me and I looked at him wide eyed.

"I need to go to class." I say. He nods and lets me go. I couldn't believe that just happened. I had the biggest smile on my face as I walked into biology.

At lunch Jeff sat next to me and put his arm around my waist. I smiled up at him and he kissed me. Chace walked up with Veronica and they sat down. Jordan kept glancing in our direction as if what he was seeing didn't look real. Mikey was next to Candice just whispering sweet nothings to each other.

"So are you two dating now?" Veronica asks Jeff and I. I looked up at him and he looked down at me and smiled.

"We haven't really talked about it much. Right now we're just going on a date next week." Jeff says. I nod my head and continue eating my lunch.

"What about you guys." Veronica gestures to Candice and Mikey.

"Same as them." Mikey says. Veronica nods her head.

"Porter, do you want my banana?" Jordan asks me.

"Sure." I smile and take it. Everyone continues eating and talking about nothing in particular. I peel the banana and look over at Chace. He was staring as I took a bite and winked at him.

"I'm going to go get some food from the vending machine." Chace gets up abruptly and walks away. Jeff kisses my cheek and I look over to see Chace glaring.

"So I was thinking maybe this weekend we could go midnight bowling." Jeff says to the group.

"Yeah that sounds like a lot of fun." Candice says. "What do you think?" She asks Mikey.

"Sounds great!" He smiles. Everyone else agrees just as Chace sits back down.

"What's going on?" He asks.

"We are all going midnight bowling this weekend. Want to join us?" Jeff asks.

"Everyone is going?" 

"Everyone."

"Sounds like fun."
