today when i look out
your curtains are closed again
but i can see where the window has steamed up
and you've written 'hi' in the glass
so i don't think you're mad at me.
i breathe on the pane and write 'hi' back
because i wouldn't want to be rude,
but really it's because
i like talking to you this way.
