Chapter 32

I tuck my phone into my pocket and smile as my son hugs me

" Hi momma," he says wrapping his arms around my waist

"Hi son," I say picking my child off the floor a few inches hugging him

"How is my handsome man," I said ruffling his hair, he smiles saying good and giving me and Jon another hug

We walk into the living room and talk for a bit before we decide to leave and head back to my place

"So you have a good time with bubba?" I ask and I look back and he nods

"That's good what you guys do?"

"We went and played mini golf and went to the movies and also we went swimming," he says smiling

"That's good bud," I smile as we slow down at the red light

" You finish your homework for tonight?" I ask as the light changes

"Yup," he says as he reaches into his school bag and handing the folder to Jon

" We are learning about algebra right now for math it's hard but grandma helped me finish it earlier," he says as Jon opens the folder

"Good job buddy," he says flipping through the booklet

We arrive at home and see a few cars parked in front of my house

"Are you expecting anyone?" Jon asks and I shake my head no slowly getting out of my car grabbing my bag and the small knife from my side pocket

"Alex?" Jon looks at me then the knife I had

"So much stuff happened these last few months Stephanie gave it to me" I say closing my door

Jon was about to open his "no you stay here with Luca" I say and he nods and I make my way to the front and look through the window by my door

"Oh for fuck sakes" I laugh seeing Nikki, Brie and Bryan and their dogs

I run over to the car

"It's Nikki, Brie and Bryan" I say laughing grabbing my purse

I walk through the front door "thanks for the warning you three" I say placing my purse beside the door on the table

"Sorry it was a last minute decision plus we haven't seen you for a while" Nikki says standing up and hugging me

"It's ok" I say seeing Jon and Luca entering the house

"Hi!" Luca says running over and hugging both Nikki and Brie before playing with the dogs

"Hey man what about me?" Bryan speaks up looking over to Luca

"Sorry" he says standing up and running over to Bryan and giving him a hug

"Bryan, Brie?" I speak up looking over to them

"Yes Samaria?" Bryan says smirking knowing I only let a few call me by first name

"Can you help me I want to plant a garden but I don't know where to do it" I say "cause I got a few things but it's where would I put it" I say and they smile

"Why don't we go walk around outside" Bryan says and I nod and we walk outside as Bryan tries to help me find a place

"So how are things with you and Jon?" He asks tugging his sweater down

"So far so good" I smile

"This seems like a good spot" he says as we stop not far from the deck

"What are you thinking of growing?"

"Herbs like Basil and oregano" I say before we go back inside and watch movies before Brie and I cook while Nikki went to go get a bottle of wine since I didn't have any more
