The Mandate of Heaven was
surrendered that blackest night
when young blood stained Tiananmen.
No longer can the men of
uniformed power expect
the world to smile agreement.
Yes, the money men tell us
that trade will smooth the way to
social reform and freedom.
Whose mind is the more deformed
those who pulled the triggers or
those that now count the money.
What value the life of a
student or the mined landscape
left poisoned and tossed aside.
What value the clothes you buy
and the car you drive when made
with the blood of a lost youth.
Heroes don’t change the world they
show us where not to spend our
hard earned and heartless money
The Mandate of Heaven is
forfeit and the reaper
comes to take back the future.
