nights in june
I love the time in early june
when sun secretly kisses moon
fuchsia tints the evening skies
I watch the dance of fireflies, eve will break soon
the sun sets with a haze of pink
clouds blushed with red indian ink
the day leaves with this amber light
and gives way to the blue of night, in an eye's blink
luminous stars begin to grow
I'm amazed by their gilt halo
embeded in silvery white
I will savor this stunning sight, its lunar glow
peacefully I rest on the ground
mother earth keeps me safe and sound
I'm filled with grateful sensation
beauty is natures creation, just look around
