Your Ghost

Your Ghost

I don't let myself talk to your ghost

Even if I want to.

Even if I want to say the things,

I foolishly left unsaid.

I'd talk to you forever.

Then they'd surely call me mad.

I must stay normal.

For you.

Instead, I keep you,

Folded like an origami heart,

Hidden in my sleeve.

Until I am alone,

And can reopen you, the scars you left,

Torture myself with your memory.

It keeps you here.

I'd do anything to keep your ghost with me.

To have your smile,

Your beautiful eyes.

It's selfish of me.

To want to go insane just to have you.

I can't help it.

I would throw everything away.

To talk to your ghost.
