A.N. SEBBY'S MUMS RETURN! Image is of Freya, Agatha's sister, the nicer of Seb's mums. She is played by Kaya Scodelario! Note that the cast of his mothers is the same from Vanity Teens bc I didn't want to switch to older actresses, so imagine them fifteen years older for all intensive purposes. Thanks hunties.

Chapter Twenty-Four:

"How did you tell your family?" I asked Tristan.

"Tell them what?" he asked, giving me that quizzical look of his, where his forehead scrunches up in confusion and he stands there, his arms dangling at his sides, completely clueless and unbelievably gorgeous.

"You know what!" I replied, folding my arms in anger at him as I sat on the edge of his bed. "How did you tell them that you... you know..." I trailed on, hoping he wouldn't be so clueless as to not have a clue what I was talking about.

But that look on his face never fled. "What?"

"How did you tell them that you were gay?"

His face brightened a little at his own mental recollection of events, and he came beside me and sat down on his bed, dropping onto his back. I did the same.

"Well, my mum got a phone call from the summer church camp they'd forced me to go to, saying I'd been caught with another boy behind the bleachers." He giggled a little, scratching his nose at the memory.

"And?"

"She left me there, hoping I'd pray the gay away. At the end of the summer, she picked me up and took me home to Paris. Obviously, my mother was furious, since my dad ditched her for another dude. She hated gays because of that, and now suddenly I was one of them. Plus, her new hubby didn't like me to start with, and they both used it as an excuse to get rid of me.

They were planning on sending me to Russia, but when my grandmother found out, she came to an arrangement. I'd stay at St. Seppo's as usual and I'd live with her in her flower shop. She was the only one that accepted me. God knows what my so-called parents are doing now. My mother is probably pregnant to her new hubby, my father is probably off in some exotic place like Hong Kong or California with this month's boy-toy."

"At least your grandmother's a lovely woman," I said.

And I was telling the truth. Evelyn was the nicest woman in town, according to everyone who knew her. She sold flowers for a living, so she was obviously a lovely person. She'd always let me stay over at Tristan's when I couldn't handle my aunt, and she'd known about the two of us since he swooped me up into his arms and carried me off the day we met. Honestly, the two of them had welcomed me into their home so lovingly that they felt more like my family than my actual family.

"My family is delusional," he mused.

"Speaking of delusional families, my mothers are coming back for dinner, and you're invited. I've got to go and help my aunt prepare, so be at the forbidden fortress by seven, and if you don't bring me flowers, you can forget ever kissing these collarbones again, okay, baby?"

I'd risen from his bed and was on my way out when he called me back and softly kissed me on the forehead. "I'll miss you, sexy. Now fuck off and make me dinner."

I hit him in the arm and left, waving goodbye to his grandmother Evelyn before finally starting my climb back up that god-forsaken mountain.

The tension in that big, ugly house was too much for me since I was left there, and adding my two entirely unpredictable mothers to the equation only made things far, far worse. I saw their car parked outside of the building by the time I arrived, and grumbled a few words I wouldn't dare say to their faces.
