New Beginnings

Chapter 69

"Mommy...."

Who was calling me? I opened my eyes a little to look at the clock. It was 8:32.

"Mommy!!"

I put the pillow over my head and tried to go back to sleep but someone, probably Cayson, jumped on me.

"Up mommy! Birfday today!!", he yelled.

I sat up,"It is your birthday today! Happy birthday baby!"

He fell into my arms and hugged me as I kissed his forehead. "Where is daddy?"

"Umm..", he mumbled. He couldn't talk as good but he did try. I mean, he talked better than other two year olds.

"Uh..." Then his eyes lit up,"Store! Daddy says dat he buyed baboons."

I laughed,"You mean he went to your balloons?"

"B-balloons", he smiled.

He climbed off of me and the bed then grabbed my hand, tugging me. I finally got out the bed and started following after where he was going. We ended up in the kitchen and on the table was a few pieces of coco puffs. They were put into the shape of a heart.

"Supise mommy!", he yelled. That's one exhausting thing of having a toddler is that he's so excited and always screaming. But I don't really mind. It just irritates Chres a lot.

I sat down on one of the chairs and told him to sit on the one across from me.

"Awe baby thank you but shouldn't I be giving you surprises?"

"Supise for me?", he asked. Then he smiled really big. "YAY MOMMY! What you get?"

"Stay right here and close your eyes. Don't get up or you won't get your present", I said.

He sat down and closed his eyes when I left the kitchen. I went the closet in my room and pulled out a box wrapped in transformers wrapping paper. I brought it back to the kitchen and saw that Cayson wasn't at the table anymore.

"Cayson???", I called out. "Cayson if you don't come out you're not getting your pr-"

I stopped when I heard something behind me and I turned around. Before I could finish a full turn, someone grabbed me and started shouting into my ear. I knew already that it was Chres.

"Fuck Chres. Why do you always do that?"

I turned around and he was standing there with Cayson.

"Sorry Ava, I didn't mean to", he said kissing my ear and I smiled. He's lucky I like that.

"Sure", I said rolling my eyes. "Have you said happy birthday to your son?"

"Of course I did. Before you even, you know, since you were still asleep", he laughed.

He picked Cayson up and sat him on the counter. "I have a surprise for you by the way."

"Supise fa me?!"

"Yes baby. We're going to White Water Six Flags!", he said with a big smile. "I remember when you showed me on the TV."

"Yay!!! Tank you daddy! Tank you! Tank you! Tank you!"

I was surprised myself. I though we were staying in today and having dinner. He put Cay back down on the ground.

"Now??", Cayson asked?

"Yeah now! Go put your swimming trunks on."

He turned back to me with a smile on his face again. "Am I the best daddy or what?"
