Friday

It was a sunny afternoon,
Niall had decided to take a walk outside since it was hotter than usual in the house. He brought his book that he had been dying to read since their exams. Everything was going into plan and the only thing missing was the location to where he could really read.

'I don't want to go to the park, it's too mainstream and let's be honest here, it's too noisy to read there because of the kids. School is a big no-no since I'm not in the mood.' He thought of many places until he settled for the convenience store just blocks away. It had tables and air-condition which is a need for this time of season. Plus, his classmates never really go there so it was all good.

It didn't take too long for Niall to arrive in front of the store. He gripped his book tightly in his hand before opening the door slowly. Finding a table wasn't a problem because people often came here to buy food not sit down on the table for hours. The blonde-haired boy decided to buy a can of coke so the employees wouldn't be mad at him for staying in the store for hours. As he opened the book to the first page, a man came in.

And it wasn't the type of man you see everyday.

He looked like a model or-or even a god. Niall didn't even notice that he was staring at him before the man stared back and Niall couldn't do anything but look back at his book again quickly to hide his flustered face. He could definitely feel the blood go up to his cheeks and it was definitely not cool especially if you have pale skin.

The blonde-haired boy decided to continue reading his book but he couldn't help but throw a glance or two at the beautiful stranger. He was wearing a graphic tee with black jeans and sneakers which is what some bad-ass character would wear. But the man made it look different. 'He looks like a greek god..' Niall thought to himself before shaking up his thought and reading the book again.

Luck kind of wasn't with him today because as soon as he finished reading the third page of the first chapter, the man sat down just two chairs away from him. Niall tried hard to ignore the guy and so far, he's doing pretty good except that his cheeks would turn red at certain times.  After a few minutes or so, he glanced at the man and sure enough, he was texting someone with his iPhone.

Niall couldn't help but feel relieved that they didn't share eye contact or else it would be really weird. But then again, he thought of that too early and the two ended up looking at each other. The black-haired man threw a smirk before standing up and going out of the store as if nothing happened. The young boy was unsure of what had happened and just continued reading his book anyway although his mind kept thinking of the stupid smirk.

'Just read the book and stop thinking about that man, Niall." -he chanted this inside his mind over and over again until he finally focused on his book.

But Niall did feel bad that he somehow watched the man.

What he didn't know was he was the one being watched.

"That was 'The Malik way?'" Harry scoffed.

"Oh please, that was barely step one." The bloke chuckled. "Taking it slow at first is the key."
