Can you see me?
Put everything aside,
Look right through me.
Can you find me?
In this big and lonely world.
I didn't know it was true,
Till I finally realized I was lost.
Oh, I see,
It was the child in you
That gave me warmth,
It was the light in you,
That gave you away.
I know who you are,
Who you're trying to be.
Maybe we're all fighting for something,
A belief we thought was worth living,
I didn't follow orders because I wanted to,
But because back then I believed it to be true.
Till the day I met you,
I realized what they've told us,
What we thought were the truth.
I can't offer you my pity,
So don't offer me yours.
Maybe you care, maybe you don't,
But what really mattered was
I know you are safe.
