My Friend, The Sun

The person who brightens up my world,

Is also the one who brings warmth to me.

Without them being a part of my life,

My world would have been dark and cold.

Being the bright yellow sun to my dark dull life,

I know you will be there for me from the beginning to the end of time.

You are my center of attention, the center of my universe,

Whose kindness come to melt the mountains of ice I've built up.

The sun glows brightly just how the person would to help boost my confidence,

To make it soar higher than it ever was before.

Your sunshine smile along with your strong complexion,

Giving me the sense of security that I lacked.

You are always full of energy,

Ready to explode if something were to happen.

The only thing that I need,

Is for you to be the brightest shining star in the universe for me to follow,

In this pitch dark lonely place.
