Nathan's POV
Sumunod na araw pagkatapos ng party, nangyari na nga ang matagal ko nang pinaghahandaan. Sa loob ng tatlong buwan, dumistansya ako sa lahat ng taong magu-ugnay sa akin kay Zoey, maski na mga sarili kong kaibigan, sila Reg at Rick.
"Gago ka ba?!" Pinuntahan nila ako sa bahay at alam kong ganito ang magiging reaksyon nila. "How can you explain this man? Si Marvic Carenas?", tanong ni Reg.
"You know her?"
"By name of course! But she calls herself Paige now! Hey, huwag mong iniiba usapan. Explain!", sigaw naman ni Rick. Ang sakit ng ulo ko sa mga sigaw nila.
"You broke up with Zoey and then three months after you go out in public and you're suddenly the The Princess' boyfriend?!"
"Is she really that famous?" huminga silang dalawa ng malalim.
"This is why we come with our relatives to social gatherings Nathan, you have to know they key people. This is the first time that she revealed herself after she came back from States."
"Paano nakalabas? Walang media sa loob?"
"How can you be so stupid? Sa tingin mo ba walang mga cellphone mga tao doon? Social media? It's all over the news and your face is there! Hindi ka naman highlighted but everyone you know would of course recognize you."
"So?"
"Gago ka ba wala ka na ba talagang pakialam kay Zoey at sa pamilya niya?", tanong ni Reg. Hindi ko naisip 'yon. Pero break na kami. Wala namang masama kung may bago akong girlfriend.
"We broke up and I know she already moved on."
"You changed Nathan." - Rick
"Hey, wala kayong karapatang sabihin sa akin 'yan kasi hindi niyo alam kung anong naransan ko. And she was there, Paige was there." Yes, she was there as an option. She basically saved me.
"How did you two even met? Don't tell me nung kayo pa ni Zoey? Is she the reason why you two broke up?!", tanong ni Rick.
"Ang alam ko hindi tayo 'yung tipo na pinag-uusapan ang kanya kanya mga lovelife. Alam kong magre-report kayo sa mga girlfriend niyo at ayaw kong magkaroon kayo ng unnecessary arguements with them that's why I distanced myself from the both of you."
"Bro, magkakasama na tayo simula bata pa. Kahit na kaibigan nila si Zoey, you should have come to us for help.", sabi ni Reg.
"I'm okay now guys. I hope you could be happy for me. And I would love it if we could still hang out. Gusto ko rin kayong ipakilala sakanya. She's a great woman. You'll love her.", sabi ko.
"We would like that. Seeing you now I guess you're really happy?", tumango ko. Siguro eto ang kailangan ko. Masaya at relax lang kay Paige.
Everything is going well, magkaibigan na ulit kami nila Reg at Rick.
Zoey's POV
"Are you okay?", tanong sa akin nila Carol at Dani. "Reg and Rick talked to Nathan after the news went out and it's pretty serious. They were introduced a month after you guys broke up. He didn't cheat on you." Kakarating ko sa Pilipinas mula sa Thailand nang nabalitaan ko ang bagong girlfriend ni Nathan.
"Uhm, yeah. He was clear when we broke up, it was just me who secretly hoped he would come back." Hindi ko napigilan ang luha ko. "It's my fault guys, I didn't believe in him and maybe Paige did."
Naalala ko yung email niya sa akin weeks ago. Siya pala 'yung ipapakilala niya dapat sa akin? Thank God wala ako doon.
"We're here for you. Do you want to go on a vacation?" Umiling ako.
"I'm busy these days, isang buwan nalang magpapasko na. I have to take care of all our properties' Holiday events.", sabi ko matapos ko umiyak.
"Just call us huh?" Tumango ako.
It's really over between the two of us. I messed up. It's my fault.
