Chapter Seventeen: Trouble

•Iris's POV•
I'm worried about Caleb. He's brought girls over every night and they have blonde hair and they're curvy. It's freaking me out.
I sneak my way into his room, "Caleb are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah I'm fine why?"
"I don't know, you've been bringing home girls that look like Lainey."
"Don't be ridiculous Iris." He laughed it off.
"You're right, I guess I'm crazy." I giggled and walked out.
That was so weird. I went to my own room because I was going to get coffee with Lainey to talk things out I was super nervous.

It was really hot out today and I know we'd be sweating our asses off if we went to the beach. August is probably the hottest summer month.
I saw her sitting in the corner and we were matching with out planning it.

I knew we were still best friends, subconsciously.
I walked over and we hugged It felt like nothing was wrong.
"Shall we order?" She asked.
"Yes we shall." We giggled and got on the line.
I ordered some frozen mocha thing and she did too.
We are just twinning today.
We sat down and now it was time to get down to business.
"Listen Iris, I know how I acted at the party you threw for me was wrong. I should of thanked you and appreciated your efforts." She said.
I was so shocked I felt like my jaw was hanging.
"Lainey! I forgive you! I'm also really sorry!"
"It's okay, I'm leaving in a couple weeks and I really want to be on good terms with my best friend."
"I'm excited that your perusing your dreams! I'm not upset anymore." I smiled.
"Good."
"I love you Lainey."
"I love you too." She smiled.
Everything felt great again.
"Let's do something crazy today." I said.
"Like what?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Let's go to bar hopping on the bored walk."
"We're not 21." She whispered.
"Oh but we are Lainey." I pulled two fake ID's.
"Where did you get these?"
"I had them made a long time ago it was your birthday present but you left early."
"Let's get fucked up!" She giggled.

•Cole's POV•
Travis and I sat on my bed playing video games for the past hour. We were bored as fuck.
"Dude, I wonder what the girls are doing." He said.
"Me too."
"We should call them."
"We should let them be they need time."
"You're right."
Two Minutes later Travis showed me their snap chat, it looks like they're drinking at a bar.
"What? How did they get in there?" Travis asked.
"We can call them now." I said
Neither of them picked up and I rolled my eyes.
"Cole, they're probably having fun just let them be." Travis said.
"Yeah you're right." I took a deep breath.
I just got scared because having a fake ID is extremely illegal and knowing Lainey she would get into trouble.

•Iris's POV•
"Hey sweetheart." Some asshole wearing a university sweatshirt came up to me.
"Uh, no." I rolled my eyes.
"What about you fatty?"
"Are you fucking kidding me?" Lainey slurred.
"What you both decent looking and I am desperate."
"I will serious kick your ass if you don't leave us alone." I said.
He walked over to Lainey's side and squeezed her butt.
She smacked him so hard he fell to the ground.
"Out!" The bouncer pointed to the door.
"Are you serious I just got sexually assaulted!" Lainey shouted.
"Out!" He shouted this time.
"Okay, we're going!" Lainey and I walked out.
"What an asshole." I rolled my eyes.
"Fuck him."
"There's still one more bar we can go too."
"I don't know maybe we should call it a night." I suggested.
"You're right we got into enough trouble for one night."
We started to head back to the car when we felt like we were being followed.
"Did you hear that?" I asked.
Lainey nodded and both of us started to walk faster. We eventually got in the car and locked the doors.
"Oh fuck. We're kind of drunk." Lainey giggled.
"We should call Travis and Cole to come get us."
"You're right."
There was tapping on the window next to me and we were both scared to look. The tapping got louder and there came soft sobs.
"Help me." We heard a woman say.
We both looked over and it was a girl she was in distress.
I unlocked the doors and she hopped in the back.
"Lock the doors and drive!" She shouted.
I did as I was told and took off to I don't know where.
"What the hell happened to you!?" Lainey asked.
We both sobered up really fast.
"I-i was just behind the Tiki bar smoking a-and then this group of guys came up and tried to rob me and other things..."
"Where should we drop you off?" I asked.
"The police station please."
Lainey and I gulped.
"Uh sure." Lainey nodded.
"Thank guys you really saved my life."
"Yeah no problem." Lainey nervously smiled.
We pulled up to the police station and she hesitated to get out.
"Can you guys come with me?" The random girl asked.
"Uh, well you see... were both a little tipsy and we might be underage." Lainey tried to explain.
"Okay, I'll keep your secret only because you saved me." She gave a sincere smile.
"I hope everything works out for you." We both wished her the best.
She got out of the car and we drove home carefully
"What the fuck?" I sat there gripping the steering wheel.
"Lainey can I sleep over?"
"Yeah." She answered right away.
We called our boyfriends to tell them we were safe.

•Lainey's POV•
It's about 4 am.
"I'm so confused and scared right now." I said.
"I know I can't sleep."
"If we were out there for a couple more minutes that could of been us."
"Can we watch some TV?" Iris asked.
"Yeah." We both sat up.
I flipped through the channels but I stopped when I saw the news.
The woman's face flashed across the screen.
"This woman is highly dangerous please do not engage with her." The news anchor said, "she had robbed four stores and held one person to gun point. Here is the victim now."
Me and Lainey looked at each other and Iris started to cry.
"She knows what my car looks like."
"Okay relax. We're tipsy, so we're just paranoid." I said.
"I'm so scared right now."
"Me too. Tomorrow we will go to the cops and tell them what happened."
"Okay." Iris calmed down a little bit.
We're so fucked.
