Cole's POV
Ugh, today was Friday and Lainey was coming over. I'm so nervous I don't know what to do with myself. I met up with her in the schools parking lot.
"Iris drove me so don't worry about my car." She smiled.
"Okay." I smiled.
I opened my car door for her and she got in and I closed it.
"We should get coffee before we go to your house." She suggested.
"Uh, yeah sure." I nervously smiled.
I drove to one of my favorite cafés and pulled in the parking lot.
"Ooo yay this is my favorite!" She got really excited.
I smile grew on my face thinking about this being our place if she likes me like I like her.
"Let's go." She got out of the car.
She was actually kind of dressy today. I don't know if she got dressed up for me but I hope so.

I got out and followed her into the café. We ordered and ended up getting the same drink. She took out ten dollars but I put her hand down. I paid for both, I'm surprised she didn't fight me on it. She just looked at me surprised. Has she ever had someone pay for her before?
We got our coffee and sat down at a small table on by the window. She looked so gorgeous. The way the light reflected on her beautiful skin.
"I'm going to get my camera."
"And do what?"
"Take photos of you."
"Uh okay." She said.
I ran out to my car and grabbed my camera and we started to have a mini photo shoot at the shop. I could tell she likes the attention, she really deserves a good boyfriend. Hopefully I could be that guy.
We soon left and went to my house. I walked in and my mom was there.
"Hey mom, this is Lainey." I said. Lainey walked through the door and got bear hugged by my mom.
"It's so nice to meet you!" She let go.
"It's nice to meet you too." Lainey smiled.
"Hopefully we'll see a lot more of you around." My mom embarrassed me.
"Yeah me too." She looked at me.
"I'll let you get back to it."
My mom went into the living room and continued reading her book.
We walked upstairs and went into my room.
"Wow, your room is pretty cool." She said looking around my electric blue painted room.
"Thanks, all my records are over here." I walked over and sat on the floor.
She came over and sat with me.
I put an old one in my record player.
"I like it." She said.
We sat and listened to a couple of my new ones.
She looked at me and our eyes locked. I scooted a little closer to her and I leaned in. Our lips almost met but then the one and only Travis popped in.
She jumped away and looked at him.
"Are you fucking kidding me..." I muttered under my breath.
"Hey man!"
"What are we doing today?" He laid on my bed.
"Dude, get out." I said.
He knew I was going to hang out with her today.
"No." He sat up.
"Stop being a prick." I said.
"I'll just leave." Lainey got up.
"No, Lainey." I gently wrapped my hand around her arm.
"It's fine Cole I'll talk to you later." She said walking away.
"Let me at least drive you home." I offered.
"I guess so." She got into my grey car.
"He's such a dick some times and I don't understand why." I rubbed my face.
"It's fine I get it." She said quietly looking out the window.
"Lainey please don't be mad at me." I put my hand on her knee.
She looked up at me, "I don't know anymore. Am I a joke or a bet between you guys?"
What? How could she think that? I would never do that to her.
"No, I wouldn't do that to you."
"Why? What makes you different from every guy?" She asked.
My body took over and I leaned over and kissed her soft lips. I pulled away not knowing what her reaction would be.
"I wouldn't ever do that to you. I-i really like you Lainey."
"I... just uh..." she didn't know what to say.
"Do you like me back?" I asked.
"I uh..."
"It's okay don't say yes if you don't mean it." I put my head down.
Why would she like me? Now I just feel embarrassed.
"I actually really do too. I'm just scared your going to hurt me." She's said with big hazel eyes.
"I wouldn't hurt you." I said.
"You promise?" She asked sticking out her pinkie.
"Promise." I shook her pinkie and then leaned in and kissed her.
Gosh, she was an amazing kisser. I wonder if she knows that or not.
"We should take things slow though." She said.
"Okay, I can do slow." I smiled at her.
We sat in silence in my car for a couple of minutes. Then she broke the silence.
"I don't want you to leave." She said.
"Okay." I pulled into her drive way and got out with her.
She walked up to her front door and let me in.
"Let's go watch a movie or something."
"Are your parents here?" I asked out of curiosity.
"No but they'll be home around 6:30." She said walking up the stairs.
I followed her and we walked into a lilac purple painted room. Her blanket had pink patterns on it with matching pillows.
"You're room is a lot girly than I thought." I said.
"Yeah the last time I repainted was when I was seven." She giggled.
"Oh."
"Yeah I want to paint it a different color, I'm not sure what color yet." She looked around.
"Maybe a light blue." I said.
"We would have matching rooms, relationship goals." She laughed.
I laughed along with her.
I wrapped my arms around her waist from behind and rested my chin on her shoulder.
She shifted, I didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable or anything, so I let go.
"What do you want to watch?" She asked me.
"Whatever you want." I shrugged as she pulled up Netflix.
A whole bunch of horror movies popped up.
"Just a guess, but do like horror movies?" I said sarcastically.
"Maybe." She giggled.
I shook my head at her.
We sat on her bed and she eventually picked out a movie. It was a horror movie of course. I'm a horror fanatic too and now I  know she likes them too is amazing.
"You ever think why girls dress so slutty in these movies?" She asked.
"I don't know." I shrugged, "sex appeal?"
"Yeah probably." She put her head on my chest.
My stomach started to fill with butterflies.
I ran my fingers through her golden hair.
I could feel her smiling.

Lainey's POV
It was awkward at first, isn't everything awkward at first? I adjusted my self and my head was on his shoulder now. He kissed my head. We were a cheesy couple. I've always wanted something like this. I looked up at him admiring this moment. I guess he felt me staring at him and looked down at me.
"What?" He chuckled.
"Nothing." I said.
"There's something." He raised his eyebrow.
"We're a cheesy couple."
"No were not."
"Yes we are." I smiled.
"Would a cheesy couple do this?" He gave me a peck on my lips.
"Yup."
"And this?" He kissed me more passionately.
I nodded my head.
"What about this?" He started to hover over me and kissing me.
He pulled away and moved to my neck. He left little kisses down my neck. He kept going lower and then he met my chest.
He started pushing up my dress and that's where I pushed his hands away. I didn't want him to see all my cellulite and stretch marks. He'll probably break up with me if he saw that. It hasn't even been two hours yet.
He jumped up, "I'm sorry I didn't mean to push you to far." He said.
I sat up too and smiled.
"No you didn't, just not there yet. We can still kiss though."
I leaned in and tired to kiss him, but he wasn't kissing it back.
"What? What'd I do?" I asked panicky.
"Nothing." He gave me a smirk and kissed me.
I grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer.
"Lainey?!" I heard shocked familiar voice.
I immediately pulled away and looked to see who was in my door way. Cole jumped off of me immediately as well.
"What the hell Iris? Why didn't you knock?"
"What are you two doing?" She shouted.
"None of your business, just wait down stairs I'll be there in a minute." I said.
She walked down the stairs.
"I guess this cheesy movie couple is done for today." He chuckled.
"Yeah, thanks to her. I was enjoying this movie."
"Yeah me too." He brushed my hair over my ear.
"I'll be right back." I said.
I got up and went down the stairs
"What the actual fuck Iris?" I asked.
"Why are you kissing Cole without telling me about it?"
"It just happened and why the hell are you even Here?" I asked.
"I just wanted to check on you because Travis said that you two were arguing or something, but clearly your fine."
"Yeah Travis is being a dick lately." I said, "He came in and basically my told me to leave Cole's house."
"Damn." She looked conflicted, "I'm going to talk to him, try not to get pregnant."
"I won't." I laughed.

Iris's POV
"Travis!" I screamed.
"What?" He came out of my bedroom.
"You're such a fucking liar!" I shouted.
"No I'm not. They looked annoyed at each other."
"Totally different then what you said."
"What did they say?"
"Nothing because they were kissing."
"Are you fucking kidding me?" He shouted.
"What?" I looked at him.
"Nothing."
"What? You don't think my best friend isn't good enough for Cole? Because we all know it's the other way around."
"No it's not and yeah he deserves some skinny beautiful girl and not whatever she is!" He shouted at me.
"Get out." I said.
"What?"
"Get out of my fucking house!" I screamed.
"Why?"
"You don't get to talk about my best friend like that!"
"Fine." He rushed out of my house.
Once I heard the door close I started crying. I hate him, how dare he pull something like that. I went into my room and texted Lainey what happened. She answered right away.
•WHAT? I'll fucking kill him how dare he hurt you like that why would he bring you into stupid shit!!•
Why is she so concerned about me and not about what he said about her? I really don't understand her.
I went down stairs and my brother was sitting at the kitchen table with blood shot eyes.
"Hey you alright?" I asked.
"No, Cassandra broke up with me." He tried not to cry.
"Awe, what happened, you guys were so happy?" I sat next to him.
"She thought I was too annoying."
"What a bitch."
"What about you?" He asked.
"Um... I broke up with Travis."
"Why?"
"He kept trying to keep Putting down Lainey."
"What an asshole."

Lainey's POV
It's been about a week since Iris broke up with Travis. I feel bad that they broke up and that Cole hasn't really spoken to him a lot Because of me.
"Hey you okay?" Cole asked me.
"Yeah, I'm just thinking."
"About what?" He put his arm around me.
"Everything."
"I know how to get your mind off of it." He kissed my neck.
I giggled, "not in school."
"We're graduating in about two months who cares." He said leaned in.
I saw a sign that senior prom tickets were up for sale.
"I got to go talk to Iris about prom."
"Why is she your date?"
"I don't see you asking me." I rolled my eyes.
"Maybe." He smirked.
"I got to go I'll talk to you later, Cole." I gave him a peck.
"Okay baby." He smiled.
I cringed at that, I feel like that doesn't suit us as a couple.
