Chapter 18: A Bag Of Worms.

The shock didn't wear off as I stared at the couple that seemed to notice me and Adam's presence. They tore apart from each other, smiling and blushing like a pubescent boy that got his first kiss. Neither of them spoke as my mouth stayed in a gaping motion. I was so damn confused. A elbow nudged me and I winced but still continued to stare. "You should close your mouth, otherwise I might get ideas."

Instantly, I closed my mouth and shot a dirt at Adam who was grinning. "So?" I started, breathing in. "So..." Ryan replied.
"So?" I urged the gay couple to explain. Gay couple? Weirdly, it almost sounded natural calling them that since they seemed to fit perfectly. Ryan the peacemaker and Adrian the troublemaker- two pieces that completed each other. God, I sound all poetic now.

"So-" Adrian started but the idiot interrupted. " I swear if any of you say so again I will hurt you." Adam said irritated. " But you just said so." I replied, chuckling. Instead of answering Adam started to bang his head against the nearest tree. I placed my hand on his shoulder and moved him away. " Just explain." I nodded to the Adrian and Ryan, both who were shooting Adam disturbed looks.

"It's simple really, we're mates."
"Okay. When exactly did you find that out?" I asked.
" When I went back to the meeting, we saw each other and we knew. That feeling that just... inside you feel this connection and your Wolf goes crazy and I guess it was like fireworks." I found myself nodding along to every word Adrian was muttering, I felt like that when I first saw Jake but that was before reality came crashing down.
"Aren't you going to tell you Alpha about your relationship?" Adam asked. Adrian and Ryan glanced at each other, a worried look passing.
"What was that look?"
"What look?" They asked.
"You know that look." I answered, nodding.
" Urgh, It's just we don't want to tell Jake before the war. He's already stressed." Ryan replied.

"Who's Jake?" Adam whispered.
"The Alpha." Realization settled on Adam's face. "Okay we'll keep you secret." I commented. A look of relief passed both of them. "Thanks."
"Wait, who said I was going to be quiet." Adam intercepted.
"I did dufus. Ignore him. He'll keep quiet otherwise that thing between his legs won't be there any longer." All three of them winced, a satisfied smile took over my face.
"Let's go." I motioned for Adam to follow me and headed back to Pack house.

When we reached my room I informed Adam of everything about this Pack and how he was going to have to go to school. When nightfall came, the discussion of sleeping arrangements came up. " You can sleep in the guest room. I'm sure they have a spare one." I argued.
"But what if I get raped?" Adam protested. I rolled my eyes at his dramatic attitude. "Trust me, no one will come into the room if you lock the door." I scrubbed my eyes as sleep started taking over.
" Can't I stay here?"
"No." Adam... pouted?
"I swear I will be a good boy."
"You can be a good boy in your own room." I yawned and put my face into my pillow ignoring Adam's protests. I heard a little thump next to me and guessed he was laying next to me. " Get lost." My voice muffled by the pillow.  "This could be our first sleepover." Adam clapped his hand and squealed in a girlish voice. What is wrong with him? I waved my hand at him to shut up. When he finally stopped moving the whole bed due to his constant change of pillow movement, I fell asleep.

I woke up, with someone breathing heavily into my ear. Urgh! I freed my hand from my duvet and smacked the stranger. "Ow!" Apparently, this person has a man's voice. What? Jumping out of bed, i yawned and glared at Adam that was rubbing his hand through his hair making it all stand up. "What are you doing here?" I scowled. He looked at me and grinned. "It was our sleepover, remember." Smacking his arm i groaned, remembering that i had school.

 " I have to get ready for school." Reluctantly, i dragged myself to the bathroom door. "You better be ready by then." I said pointedly to Adam. Rushing into the shower, i felt the warm water hit my body making me feel relaxed. However, i knew different. The whole Pack was going to go to a war in less than a month and i suspected the girl that has endangered my life could be a huge factor to the war- Carol.
