Part 13

Chapter 13:

Shortly after, I feel asleep

-

I was awoken by a soft singing

"I won't give up on us, even If the skies get rough, I'm giving you all my love-"

I interrupted him by coughing

"Ashley, your up?"

Luke asked

"Yeah,.... Was that you singing?"

"Actually it was"

he chuckled

"Your a really good singer"

I complemented him

"Thanks"

He replied

At that moment I heard the door open, not to mention it was loud

"I'm here to check up on Ashley"

I heard a man say

"Ok"

Luke said

"Ashley, you doctor is here"

He walked closer to me

"How's your vision?"

The doctor asked

"It's the same"

I replied

"Ok... I expected that, its only been 3 days... So"

He said

"She's drowsy a lot... Is that normal?"

Luke asked

"Yeah, that tumor is gonna make her really sleepy"

The doctor said

"Now, are you two dating? Your in here quite a bit?"

The doctor asked

"We're just really good friends"

Luke replied... I could just hear the smile in his voice

"So when will my vision get better?"

I asked

"When the tumor gets smaller"

He replied

"And how will we know when it does?"

Luke asked

"In about 2 months well do another MRI to see"

The doctor replied

"Ok, well when do I get to come home?"

I asked

"Whenever you feel comfortable walking around, with someone helping you of course... But I recommended you stay here for at least 7 more days"

He said

"Oh ok"

I replied

For a couple minutes Luke and the doctor talked... And I fell asleep, again

-

"Luke?"

I asked when I woke up

"Luke?"

I asked again, he wasn't answering

The room was silent.... But then there was a faint snore coming from beside me

"Luke?"

I asked again this time a bit louder

"Yes, princess"

He finally answered, sounding like he just woke up, which he did I could tell

"Did you just wake up?"

I asked

"No, I've been up for HOURS"

he said sarcastically

"Sorry, to wake you...you can go back to sleep"

I said

"No, it's fine, do you want something?"

He wondered

"Um, I'm kinda hungry"

I whined

"That's ok... Do you want bugles?"

He asked

"Sure...will you feed me, again?"

I asked

"That's what I'm here for"

He chuckled

I loved when he says we're not alone, were in this together or something in that range of words, it makes me feel worthy of living and that I'll never be alone or lonely '

"Thanks"

I replied
