Chapter 8:

I woke up, still not able to see anything but I could tell I was alive

"Luke, Calum?"

I wasn't sure who was here with me

"This is Sierra, I'm here with you, Calum, Luke, and Michael went to get some food"

"Ok, um have they figured out what's wrong with my eyes?"

I asked

"I don't know, you just had an MRI , and the doctor should be back soon with the results"

Sierra replied

I heard footsteps entering the room

"We're back how is she?"

Luke asked, I could recognize the sound of his voice

"She just woke up"

Sierra replied

Then I felt hands lay softly on my hand

I jumped, I wasn't expecting that

"Ashley, this is Luke.... We're going to get through whatever is making you blind, together"

Luke said as he planted a kiss softly on my cheek

Shorty after I fell asleep

I woke up to the sound of footsteps exiting the room

"Luke?"

"Yes, I'm beside you"

He responded quickly

"Has the doctor came yet?"

When I stopped all I could here was sobbing

"Is someone crying in here?"

I asked

"It's um just ... The doctor did come"

He said softly, also ignoring my question

"And..."

"And... You have a brain tumor... It's in a spot towards the front of your head, which is causing your vision loss"

Luke replied, his voice was very soft

"What?"

I was so... I can't really express my emotion

"But we can get through this, don't worry"

Luke tried to comfort me, I just heard more sobbing sounds

"Is someone crying?"

I asked

"Yes, Sierra is, it's just depressing, the whole tumor thing.... She's just sad."

Luke patted my back and pulled me in for a hug

"It's pretty sad for all of us..."

Luke whispered in my ear
