Niall’s POV-

My eyes sting with tiredness as I grope around for my phone. I was woken by the familiar ding of a tweet, not really sure why I’m actually bothering to check it right now. My eyes open and squint at the bright white screen of my blackberry. It’s one thirty in the afternoon. I doubt any of the boys are up yet.

As usual there are tons of tweets from random fans that send mostly sweet words. I try my best to avoid the harsh ones… With no time to read them all I skip around at the top finally finding one from Jocelyn. My cheeks turn a pale pinkish color at just her pretty profile picture that shows her and a friend in swimsuits on the beach. I try to not show my fondness and quickly read over the tweet a few times. She wants me to meet her tonight for a play date with MY sharpie that she now loves. Hah, it’s sad that we actually joke about sharpies, but for some reason it makes her seem so cute. I peel myself up off my comfy bed and head directly to the shower to wake myself up and wash off the night’s alcohol.

“Niall, you awake?” I here Zayn’s sour voice say lazily. He obviously just woke up. I sigh and open the door, me just in my topman boxers, ready to take a nice warm shower.

“What is it Zayn?” I say while Zayn pushes pass me and checks himself out in the bathroom mirror. I try my best not to laugh at my idiot best friend but it’s no use.

“You still feeling that girl?” He says nonchalantly as he yawns and swipes a hand through his messy black hair.

Just the thought of Jocelyn makes me smile and sends bubble to my tummy, “Yeah, I’m probably meeting up with her later today why?” I ask a little bit worried.

Zayn looks up at me a little more focused now and grins, “Aren’t you suppose to be waiting for your princess Niall?” Zayn says in his mysterious voice that girl scream over. It kinda creeps me out though. I laugh awkwardly at his question not knowing what to say. I know I was rushing into things by thinking that maybe, just maybe, this girl was in fact my princess. “Don’t tell me…you think she might be…your princess?!” Zayn’s eyes are wide now and he’s shocked. I can hardly believe it myself though. I blink the thought away and recover with a laugh.

“I don’t know Zayn; I’m just trying to get my damn sharpie back.” I joke, trying to get that serious look out of his eyes. Zayn half smiles and relaxes a bit, now leaning against the frame of the door.

“Hah hah, alright Niall. Try to stay safe, we don’t need our little Niall getting lost now do we?” Zayn jokes, even though there is some truth behind it.

I widen a bit, “We’ve been living here for almost a year or so! I think I know my way around, god Zayn! “ I spat back, half laughing. He gives me a warning look and ducks out of the bathroom. Finally I can shower!

Two hours later and I’m sitting in Harry and Louis flat with all five of the guys. They’ve taken my play date into their own hands now and are intensively prepping me for the evening. After tweeting Jocelyn back and getting the time of six o clock and the place of the pizza shop we went last night to meet her at, I sit already and looking dapper in my clothes. The clothes Zayn suggested. I sit facing the other four guys who look at me with deep expressions plastered on their faces.

“What?!” I finally let out, sick of staring back at them. Louis of course erupts into laughter, tugging on Harry’s shirt. They all seemed to know something I didn’t…

“Sorry Niall, we just can’t believe you’re actually going out on a ‘play date’.” Liam reassured me. I smile hopelessly at them and shrug. I just can’t wait to see her again.

“Okay so just remember everything we told you!” Louis yells as I finally head out. It’s only a little away from where I live so I’m not too worried I might get lost. Wow that must sound dumb since I live here.

I walk through the pizza place door, the smell of a cheesy pizza overtaking me. If it wasn’t for Jocelyn’s smiling face I probably would have gone straight up to order! But there she was, sitting down at our same table again. Her hair was down and naturally messy from her running her hand in it. Her big blue eyes shined through the light bit of makeup she wore. She had on high waste shorts and a navy blue tank top that just showed her off perfectly. She looked stunning, beautiful all around! I took a seat across from her and just smiled. No words could escape from my speechless mouth. Damn it, the guys would be disappointed if they saw this.

“Hey you! I have your trusty sharpie right here.” She laughed, patting the black sharpie that lay on the table beside her. “I thought maybe we could get some ice cream here and you could show me around London.” Her smile only growing bigger.

“Sure! But don’t be surprised if I get us lost!” I laughed off, trying not to sound too dumb. Jocelyn smiled and laughed along with me as if it didn’t matter that I could get us lost even if I lived here!

We sat for a while just chatting and eating our ice creams. As expected I paid for both us. She got a small vanilla while I got a large banana split. I promised to share with her. As we picked at our food I couldn’t help but notice the way she was just staring at me. My eyes met hers and a half smile played on my lips, mouthing the words “what?”

“You’re really messy?” She replied, her eyes filled with a certain gleam. I was glad she was enjoying herself. I didn’t even realize how huge of a grin I had on my face until I felt some chocolate ice cream drip down my chin. Quickly I wiped it away, watching for Jocelyn’s reaction. But she just smirked as she grabbed a napkin and pressed it to my chin for me.

Wiping away the mess I had managed to make on my face she looked back up at me, “I think it’s time you show me around this place before you completely embarrass yourself. And I think Mr. Sharpie is quite bored.” Her banter making me chuckle.

We walked out the pizza shop; me leaving a very nice tip for the waiter, my hand was locked with Jocelyn’s and swung back and forth casually as we walked down the sidewalks.

“Where is it you want to go?” I asked her. I had no idea where to take her, I just really hoped she was expecting too much. I wasn’t the romantic type; well I wasn’t good at it anyway.

Jocelyn shrugged, “Wherever the wind takes us, preferably somewhere fun?” her eyes gleaming.

“What’s your definition of fun?” I questioned hoping it wasn’t something dumb like the library or something!

“Hm, maybe a club? Do you have those here?” She said a worried expression seeping through. I couldn’t help but laugh. Of course we had clubs! She was truly an American that was for sure. I nodded towards her and knew exactly where I was going to take her.
